For Ni Sitian, April has three major events.
The first event was the opening of Xiang Zhilan Studio, the second was Xu Tingchuan's birthday, and the third was the happy event between Xu Jiayue and Pei Yang.
After the first two major events in early April, all that remained was Xu Jiayue's wedding at the end of the month.
Everything else is ready, but there's a problem with Jia Yue's wedding dress; it might not be able to be flown over in time the day after tomorrow.
So I had to pick a spare one first, so I could adapt to the situation later.
"Why didn't you ask Pei Yang to come with you?" Ni Sitian asked with a smile as she accompanied Xu Jiayue shopping in the bridal shop.
"I don't want to call him. He's the best at giving perfunctory answers. No matter what I wear, he says it looks good. How am I supposed to find something suitable like that?" Xu Jiayue pouted.
"This isn't just being polite. It's because you're good-looking and have a great figure, so of course you'll look good in anything. He's just telling the truth." Ni Sitian thought both of the outfits she changed into looked great.
"Hmph, I think he only sees two kinds of women: women with clothes and women without clothes." Xu Jiayue frowned, thinking of something that happened a few days ago, and said, "Is that the only thing on a man's mind?"
Ni Sitian choked, and Xu Jiayue looked at her and said, "Is your brother like this too? Does he touch you inappropriately for no reason?"
"Ahem," Ni Sitian's cheeks flushed slightly. If they were alone, Xu Tingchuan was quite enthusiastic.
Seeing that she tacitly agreed, Xu Jiayue smiled and said, "I really can't imagine what my brother would look like when he gets enthusiastic."
Ni Sitian had just experienced Xu Tingchuan's passion last night and was too embarrassed to talk about it now, so she quickly changed the subject and turned the tables: "Why are you suddenly asking about this? Did Pei Yang do something to you?"
"He wouldn't dare!" Xu Jiayue's face flushed red. He had indeed tried to do something to her a few days ago. Because the atmosphere was so good, she almost gave in. Fortunately, she was able to push him away in the end.
They're getting married soon, so it's not unreasonable to ask him to be patient until after the wedding.
"Haha, it's natural for him to like you and want to be close to you. If he's willing to put up with things for you, it's because he cares about your feelings." Ni Sitian, arm in arm with Xu Jiayue, pointed to a wedding dress on a model and said, "How about that one?"
"It looks good." Xu Jiayue asked the shop assistant to bring her that one to try.
The couple lingered in the bridal shop for an hour before finally choosing a backup dress.
After leaving the bridal shop, Xu Jiayue said she would treat Ni Sitian to afternoon tea. Just then, her phone rang; it was an unfamiliar number.
After answering the phone, she frowned slightly, said a few words, and then hung up.
"What's wrong?" Ni Sitian asked, puzzled.
"Come on, I'll treat you to a show." Xu Jiayue took Ni Sitian's arm, strode to the car, and got in.
Ni Sitian didn't quite understand what Xu Jiayue meant, but seeing her driving with a tense face, she had a bad feeling.
The car stopped in front of a fast food restaurant nearby. Ni Sitian was even more confused. She got out of the car with Xu Jiayue and went into the restaurant.
Xu Jiayue pulled Ni Sitian to a woman who had long black hair and looked gentle and quiet.
"Miss Xu, you've arrived. Please have a seat," the woman said.
Xu Jiayue pulled Ni Sitian to sit down with her, and Ni Sitian's sense of unease grew stronger.
"I called Miss Xu here today for nothing important, just to ask her to return this to Pei Yang on my behalf." The woman took out a pair of gloves from her bag and handed them to Xu Jiayue.
