Chapter 1389 Used for Love

A few days later, Pei Yang and Xu Jiayue went to a specialist hospital.

The inspection results weren't great; their models were indeed not a good match.

The main problem lies with Xu Jiayue; she is inherently too narrow-minded.

The doctor said that a small percentage of women have this problem, and in some severe cases, surgery is necessary.

The doctor's advice to them was to have surgery, because this condition would prevent them from having a vaginal delivery in the future.

Xu Jiayue pursed her lips, remained silent, and walked out of the consultation room with her eyes lowered.

Pei Yang put his arm around her shoulder and told jokes to make her laugh.

Xu Jiayue couldn't laugh at all. She pursed her lips and said, "Why did you reject the doctor's suggestion so directly just now?"

"Shouldn't we refuse? It's ridiculous. How can we let you suffer through surgery because of something like this?" Pei Yang couldn't bear it; how painful would that surgery be?

"Have you thought this through? Maybe we really can only have a platonic relationship." Xu Jiayue looked up at him.

"Didn't the doctor say that we should proceed gradually and slowly? Things will improve." Pei Yang hugged her tighter and whispered in her ear, "I'm not unhappy at all, so why are you so unhappy? Do you really want to consummate our marriage?"

"Get lost." Xu Jiayue glared at him angrily. The situation was already so bad, yet he still had the leisure to joke. She said worriedly, "The doctor also said that it could be as short as one or two years, or it could be like this forever. If I don't have surgery, you should be prepared to be a vegetarian for the rest of your life."

"If she wants to be a vegetarian, then she can be a vegetarian. Anyway, no matter what, except for having children, I will never agree to my wife being stabbed for me." Pei Yang felt that this might be a punishment for his past misbehavior. He would rather endure it himself than let her suffer.

"You really don't regret it?" Xu Jiayue didn't expect Pei Yang to be so resolute. He clearly really wanted that kind of thing.

"Wife, are you testing my resolve?" Pei Yang turned her shoulders and said seriously, "I swear, I will never regret it. I married you to cherish you, not to make you suffer."

Xu Jiayue's eyes welled up with tears. She raised her arms and hugged his waist, leaning against his chest.

"Okay, it's alright, sweetie, it's not an unsolvable problem." Pei Yang patted her head and said, "A really nice Thai restaurant opened on Xinhe Road. Don't you like Thai food? Let's go eat there."

Xu Jiayue sniffed, looked up, and nodded.

Pei Yang drove the car, while Xu Jiayue sat in the passenger seat, remaining silent, clearly preoccupied with something on her mind.

He reached out and patted her hand, saying, "Don't think about it anymore. If we really can't solve it, I'll just cut my own into a thinner piece, okay?"

"Pfft." Xu Jiayue spat out her drink, coughed twice, and laughed, scolding, "You're spouting nonsense. Do you think you're a pencil?"

"What does it matter if I become a 'toothpick' for you, as long as you don't mind?" Pei Yang felt relieved when he saw her smile.

Xu Jiayue imagined the scene and almost burst out laughing.

"Alright, don't frown over this anymore. As long as we're together, we can solve anything, trust me." Pei Yang pinched Xu Jiayue's cheek.

"Yes." Xu Jiayue nodded emphatically, feeling delighted.

He likes her far more than he likes doing *that* kind of thing. She should trust that he will be loyal to her and stop bringing up his past.
