Chapter 1409 Zhi Lan Knows

Li Yiqing sat for a while before leaving, and Ni Sitian saw her off.

After Xu Tingchuan finished his call, he saw Ni Sitian walking back after seeing off her guest, so he went up to her, put his arm around her and led her into the house, saying, "You've been coughing a bit lately, so you should wear an extra coat when you come out in the wind."

"Don't be so delicate," Ni Sitian chuckled, though she did have a slight cough that night. But that wasn't the point. The point was Su Yan. She asked, "Did you call and ask?"

Xu Tingchuan nodded and said in a slightly deep voice, "She said she's fine, just a bit feverish, and that it's probably related to being too tired from work lately."

"Is that really all there is to it? Am I overthinking it?" Ni Sitian frowned.

Logically speaking, Su Yan now has Xin Zikai and Xiao Chun, so she should be actively trying to survive and have no reason to avoid seeking medical help.

“Ayan has been through so much and is already very strong. She knows how serious this illness is. I’ve already arranged to meet her the day after tomorrow to discuss it further.” Xu Tingchuan felt that Ni Sitian wasn’t being paranoid; he was just afraid that her condition was so serious that it was beyond saving.

"This is the only way." Ni Sitian pursed her lips, looked up at Xu Tingchuan, and said, "Then what about this matter..."

"I won't tell Mu Zhi yet; we need to figure out the situation first." Xu Tingchuan patted Ni Sitian's head and changed the subject: "What was Li Yiqing doing here just now?"

"She's getting married to Li Yinan," Ni Sitian replied with a smile. It was a happy occasion.

The two put aside their unhappiness for the time being.

A few days later, after finishing a location shoot, Xiang Zhilan felt a little uncomfortable in her stomach.

But it wasn't too serious. Fearing that Shen Muzhi would cancel all her work now, she didn't tell him and took a taxi to the hospital by herself.

After registering and consulting with the doctor, you'll have to wait about two hours to get your ultrasound scan number.

She felt nauseous from the smell of disinfectant at the hospital, so she decided to go downstairs to the coffee shop across from the hospital and come back when it was almost time.

Xiang Zhilan lowered her head and patted the dust off the outdoor set. She went down the spiral staircase, and when she looked up again, she saw Su Yan's back.

She went down to this floor and watched Su Yan walk into the dialysis department, her brows furrowing slightly.

What could possibly require a visit to the dialysis unit? Could it be...?

Xiang Zhilan's heart tightened, and she walked towards the dialysis department, standing outside the department.

"Ms. Su, I suggested you be hospitalized before. What have you thought about it? Your illness is dangerous at any time. You might faint on the street one day. You need more comprehensive treatment," the doctor said earnestly to Su Yan.

"You also said that even if I am a match again, my chances of survival are not high. I want to use the rest of my time to do something more meaningful and spend more time with my family." Su Yan smiled and said, "Dr. Chen, thank you for your concern."

“The chances are slim, but giving up like this will only hurt your family.” Dr. Chen looked at Su Yan with some regret. Two years ago, he cured her and thought he could at least extend her life by five years, but he never expected that in just two short years, white blood cells would grow in her body again.

"I don't want them to see me in a hospital bed, I don't want them to have hope only to be disappointed again." Su Yan knew all too well what kind of ending she was facing, and now she only hoped that her life would not ultimately cause trouble for others.

"I'll say it again, discuss it with your family first." Dr. Chen felt sorry for her; she was one of the patients who had gone through the most difficult time.
