Xiang Zhilan understood after just one glance. He actually knew, but he just didn't want her to know, so he pretended that nothing was wrong.

Xiang Zhilan withdrew her gaze, lowered her head and drank another sip of chicken soup to warm up her body that had cooled down.
"This is free-range chicken, it's good for your health, eat more of it." Shen Muzhi scooped some meat from the soup and gave it to her.
"Mm." Xiang Zhilan didn't look up and continued eating.
