Suddenly, Ni Sitian's phone rang loudly, startling her tense nerves.
"Where's Jiayue!" Pei Yang's voice came through the phone, tinged with urgency and panic.
Ni Sitian knew she couldn't hide it from him, and besides, he was currently out of town on a business trip, so telling him wouldn't make a difference. She said, "She's having surgery at the Women and Children's Hospital. You should know what kind of surgery it is. She's doing this for you, for the future you..."
Before she could finish speaking, Pei Yang hung up the phone, and she frowned in confusion.
To everyone's surprise, ten minutes later, Pei Yang rushed over with a grim expression.
She had barely stood up, before Pei Yang interrupted her, "Jia Yue is in here? How long has she been inside?"
"About ten minutes," Ni Sitian replied, bewildered.
Next, Pei Yang actually forced his way into the operating room.
The nurse had just turned on the operating light when the middle-aged female doctor, holding a scalpel, bent down, ready to begin.
"Stop!" Pei Yang shouted, "This surgery is off!"
Jia Yue opened her eyes. She had only received partial anesthesia, so her mind was still clear. She thought she was hallucinating when she heard Pei Yang's voice, but when she turned her head, she actually saw him. His shirt, tie, and hair were all messed up, and he was breathing heavily, clearly indicating that he had rushed over in a hurry.
"Sir, please leave. The surgery is in progress," the doctor said sternly to Pei Yang.
Pei Yang disregarded everything else, rushed to the operating table, helped Xu Jiayue put on her pants, and said, "I am her husband, and I do not agree to this surgery."
The doctor knew why Jia Yue was having the surgery, but he didn't expect her husband to disagree.
“Pei Yang, I want to do it,” Xu Jiayue said firmly, holding Pei Yang’s hand.
"I said no, and that's final! I'm not in a hurry, so why are you in such a rush?" Pei Yang picked her up from the operating table and walked out of the operating room.
Although Xu Jiayue was only partially anesthetized, she was still somewhat weak and unable to resist him. With red eyes, she said, "I want to be your wife, your real wife."
"You are my wife, who says I am not?" Pei Yang really wanted to pry open her head and see what else was inside besides a brain full of chemistry experiments.
Before marriage, he was not allowed to touch her at all, but after marriage, he couldn't wait to do so.
Although they hadn't succeeded yet, there had been two much better encounters during their honeymoon than before. He believed that they would eventually succeed by taking things slowly, and he didn't want to subject her to surgery just for the sake of getting pleasure sooner.
“Pei Yang…” Ni Sitian glanced at Pei Yang, then at Xu Jiayue in his arms.
Judging from this, it probably hasn't succeeded yet.
"You're not allowed to do this kind of thing with her anymore," Pei Yang said to Ni Sitian with a stern face.
"It's not Sitian's fault, it's my fault..." Xu Jiayue quickly explained, afraid that he would blame Ni Sitian.
"Shut up, I haven't settled accounts with you yet." Pei Yang rarely spoke harshly to Xu Jiayue.
Seeing that he seemed genuinely angry, Xu Jiayue shut her mouth. He was usually not one to lose his temper, but this time he seemed quite furious.
"There's no need to be so angry." She tugged at his shirt and shook it, unusually giving in.
Pei Yang didn't say anything more and carried Xu Jiayue away from the hospital.
Ni Sitian stood there, stunned. Although this was the outcome she wanted, wasn't Pei Yang supposed to be on a business trip? How could he have returned so quickly to stop the surgery?
