Ni Sitian looked down and saw Xiao Tuantuan's puffed-out cheeks, then gave Xu Tingchuan a reproachful look, blaming him for saying those words.
Xu Tingchuan received a sharp look from his wife, coughed lightly, then squatted down to pick up Xiao Tuantuan, pinched his nose, and said, "How could someone as big as you be transparent?"
"What nonsense are you spouting!" Ni Sitian slapped his arm.
"I'm not a third wheel, I'm Mommy's precious baby." Tuantuan twisted her body, refusing to be held by Xu Tingchuan, and stretched out her little hands to Ni Sitian, looking forward to being taken by her mother.
"You brat, pretending to be cute again." Xu Tingchuan lightly patted Tuantuan's little bottom.
Ni Sitian took Tuantuan from Xu Tingchuan and squeezed the back of his hand, saying, "Don't bully him."
Tuantuan wrapped her arms tightly around Ni Sitian's neck, made a smug little face at Xu Tingchuan, and then rubbed her cheek against Ni Sitian's cheek.
Although he currently has the upper hand, he also has regrets. Since he turned two, he has not been able to bury his face in his mother's chest.
"I didn't bully him at all." Xu Tingchuan was quite jealous when he saw how his son was clinging to Ni Sitian.
Ni Sitian was already used to the way the father and son got along. Xu Tingchuan never seemed to treat Tuantuan like a child, always speaking to him in an adult tone, without even pretending to be a baby. Tuantuan always liked to act cute in front of Xu Tingchuan.
She glared at Xu Tingchuan, then said softly to her son, "Tuantuan, are you tired? Do you want to keep playing or go home?"
Xu Tingchuan snorted and chimed in, "He wants to see Xiao Kui."
"Who said I was going to see her?" Tuantuan pouted and muttered.
"Oh, so you don't want to go? Then let's just go home." Xu Tingchuan raised an eyebrow.
Tuantuan looked aggrieved, twisted her neck, and completely ignored her bad dad.
Ni Sitian suppressed a laugh. She had seen the two cards in Tuantuan's little schoolbag that morning and clearly wanted to give them to her. But when she found out that Xiaokui couldn't come, she wasn't happy even when playing in the water.
"Do you want to see Sister Xiaokui or not? She's sick today and feels terrible." Xu Tingchuan pinched his son's pouting beak.
"She's not some older sister." Tuantuan buried her face in Ni Sitian's collarbone and whispered.
He thought Xiao Kui was so stupid and dull, and that she loved him even more than he loved her; she didn't act like an older sister at all.
"If she's not your sister, then what is she? Your wife?" Xu Tingchuan tapped his forehead lightly and said, "So, do you want to see her or not?"
Tuantuan didn't say anything, but Ni Sitian gently gave her son a way out: "You haven't played with Hengheng in a long time either, go ahead."
Tuantuan remained silent, but she did move her little head slightly.
Ni Sitian chuckled. This proud little guy really wants to go, he's not honest at all.
In this respect, she still likes Xiao Kui the most, because among all the children, Xiao Kui has the most straightforward personality.
“Let’s go then, we can give them the mooncakes too,” Ni Sitian said to Xu Tingchuan.
"This kid is too heavy, let me carry him." Xu Tingchuan reached out to support Tuantuan under his armpits.
Tuantuan knew that his mother was already holding him tightly, so he obediently let his father hold him. But as soon as his father held him, he gently patted his bottom.
He looked up, wanting to complain to his mother, but saw her holding a handkerchief, gently wiping his bad father's sweat with a smile.
The bad dad also grinned, showing off his white teeth. At that moment, he suddenly felt like a third wheel.
