Luo Xikui and Cheng Ming thoroughly enjoyed their lunch.
After paying the bill and getting up, the smile on his face hadn't completely faded.
The two started talking about other things, but when they passed the next table, Luo Xikui froze.
Xu Ziyu stood up, looked at Luo Xikui expressionlessly, and then slowly shifted his gaze to Cheng Ming's face.
Luo Xikui's heart skipped a beat. She didn't know how long Xu Ziyu had been here, and she had forgotten to get a statement from Cheng Ming.
"Do you know this handsome guy?" Cheng Ming asked, leaning down to her ear.
Xu Ziyu watched their intimacy, his eyes narrowed slightly, his dark pupils as deep as ink, and he spoke in a cold voice: "Why don't you introduce them?"
Luo Xikui's palms were sweaty. Before she could speak, Cheng Ming, who was next to her, took the initiative to extend his hand: "Hello, I am Cheng Ming, Xiaokui's boyfriend."
Luo Xikui was stunned. She didn't expect Cheng Ming to say that, and he said it so frankly, it didn't sound like he was lying at all.
Looking at Xu Ziyu again, her face had turned as black as the bottom of a pot. She couldn't help but swallow, and then looked at Cheng Ming's hand, which was suspended in mid-air.
"Xu Ziyu." Xu Ziyu gave a simple and aloof self-introduction, and reached out to shake hands with Cheng Ming. To his surprise, Cheng Ming gripped his hand tightly. Was this a provocation?
He frowned slightly and gripped the handle tightly in return.
Luo Xikui watched them shake hands for a while, then suddenly remembered that Cheng Ming had a problem. Could this be...?
"Min, aren't we going to watch a movie? Let's go." Luo Xikui grabbed Cheng Ming's arm, not caring what Xu Ziyu thought, and dragged Cheng Ming away.
Before leaving the compound, Cheng Ming couldn't help but look back at Xu Ziyu.
Xu Ziyu watched the two leave, his expression softening slightly. He felt that something was amiss.
After dragging Cheng Ming out, Luo Xikui finally let go of his hand.
"Casey, you actually know such a gem." Cheng Ming got into the car, and even though he couldn't see Xu Ziyu, he couldn't help but look towards the gate of the compound, praising Xu Ziyu nonstop. He was so excited that he even changed his address for Luo Xikui to her English name.
“Lucas, don’t forget you have a family!” Luo Xikui called him by his English name and reminded him.
"Just admiring it." Cheng Ming shrugged.
"You'd better watch out, or I'll call Allen." Luo Xikui glared at him.
The Allen she mentioned was a painter, who was Cheng Ming's partner. She learned about Cheng Ming's sexual orientation two years ago. Cheng Ming had always been open and honest about it, but he had never publicized it, as if it were just an ordinary relationship.
At the time, Allen happened to be at the concert, and he casually introduced them to each other.
She didn't have any prejudice. This kind of situation is quite common in the arts. As long as you are loyal to your partner and don't wrong anyone, you deserve to be blessed in a relationship.
Cheng Ming has a quirk: he loves to admire beautiful people, not necessarily handsome men, but beautiful women too. In his eyes, there are only two categories of people in the world: not men and women, but beautiful and ugly.
"You're so stingy." Cheng Ming could only withdraw his lingering gaze and raised an eyebrow, saying, "Is he his sweetheart?"
Luo Xikui's smile faltered slightly. She neither denied nor admitted it, but instead asked in return, "Why did you just say you were my boyfriend?"
"Am I not your boyfriend?" Cheng Ming looked at her, puzzled.
Luo Xikui now understood that the Chinese American had misunderstood something; in Chinese, there is a big difference between a boyfriend and a male friend.
