Chapter 1591 Extra Chapter 101: Together Again

He refrained from contacting her again, but he kept an eye on her.

He knew which professor she studied with at Curtis, he knew how many hours she practiced the piano every day, he knew whether she had gained or lost weight, he knew about her every competition, he knew her…

I was so stupid back then. In order to hide it from her, I actually accepted her words and stopped contacting her.

Actually, he was also afraid. He was afraid that he wouldn't recover, and he was afraid of seeing her tears and sympathy.

He had no idea what had happened to her back home; otherwise, he wouldn't have hesitated so much and been absent during her most painful time.

"There's a cold, hard lump in here now." Xu Ziyu pulled her hand over and placed it on his left knee, concealing his four years of pain, and casually stated the result in one sentence.

Luo Xikui's eyes immediately blurred with tears again, but this time she held back her sobs, leaned down and hugged Xu Ziyu's waist, buried her head in his shoulder, and choked out, "Why didn't you tell me back then?"

She remembered that Aunt Ni and Uncle Xu seemed to have stayed in Germany for a long time at that time, but she was still immersed in that nightmare and didn't think about it too much.

"Didn't you tell me either?" Xu Ziyu raised his hand and gently stroked her long hair, saying in a hoarse voice, "Now that you know, you have even more reason to tell me it's over."

"Who said it had to end? I don't want it to end." Luo Xikui's tears fell uncontrollably. She hugged Xu Ziyu tightly, never wanting to let go of him again. She didn't want to make any promises; all she wanted now was to keep her promise to him. She had promised to wait for him.

"Is this your way of showing sympathy?" Xu Ziyu couldn't help but think more, after all, her attitude was completely different now than it was this morning; she had clearly been trying desperately to push her away before.

"What kind of sympathy is this? If I were that compassionate, I would have married a beggar long ago." Luo Xikui sniffed, looked up at Xu Ziyu with tears welling up in her eyes, and said with trembling lips, "Let's start over."

"Don't you mind? I might not be able to carry you on my back or give you a princess carry anymore." Xu Ziyu cupped her face and wiped away her tears.

"Then I'll carry you on my back and hug you." Luo Xikui sobbed and gradually stopped crying, saying, "Don't look at me like this, I always exercise, I'm very strong."

"Who was carried on your back?" Xu Ziyu laughed helplessly. "You were crying like a flower, it looked awful."

"No matter how ugly she is, she's still your fiancée." Luo Xikui snuggled into his arms again, rubbing her cheek against him.

"Who said you're my fiancée?" Xu Ziyu tried to pull her out.

“Just like you said, don’t try to renege on your promise.” Luo Xikui said matter-of-factly.

Xu Ziyu gently patted her back, feeling both helpless and amused. It turned out that showing weakness really had a miraculous effect; no wonder his father always showed weakness.

Cough cough, I should say it's acting cute.

"Aren't we supposed to record at three o'clock?" She had been holding onto him for a while and wouldn't let go, so he kindly reminded her.

“You’re in the hospital, what’s the point of me recording? It’ll be a waste of time.” Luo Xikui said, letting go of her hand and calling her assistant to explain the situation and cancel the recording for the next two days.

After putting down her phone, she lifted Xu Ziyu's blanket and tried to roll up his trouser leg to take a look.

Xu Ziyu held her hand down, preventing her from moving.

She stared straight at him, her eyes brimming with tears. He was truly at a loss for what to do, so he let go of her hand and helped her roll up her trouser legs.

Luo Xikui looked down at him, her heart aching terribly.
