After Luo Xikui followed Xin Chun inside, she smelled a very strange odor.
It smells like disinfectant, but with an even more pungent odor mixed in.
As soon as she entered, she felt her nose was about to go numb from the stench. She frowned and looked at Xin Chun, saying, "You can say what you have to say now."
Xin Chun went into the kitchen, slowly poured two glasses of water, then came out and placed them on the coffee table, gesturing for Luo Xikui to sit down.
Luo Xikui glanced at the shoe cabinet, and Xin Zikai should be home, so she felt a little more at ease and sat down, but she didn't touch the water that Xin Chun had placed in front of her.
She didn't intend to have a long chat with Xin Chun; she just wanted to keep it brief.
After she sat down, she watched Xin Chun drink water at a leisurely pace and calmed herself down to wait.
After a while, the room felt stuffy, and the smell became increasingly unpleasant, but Xin Chun remained calm and composed.
"It's so hot in this room, don't you feel it?" Luo Xikui couldn't help but ask.
“Dad is afraid of the cold,” Xin Chun said calmly, putting down her cup.
Luo Xikui didn't think much of it, assuming that Xin Zikai was indeed at home.
"Luo Xikui, you're so stupid." Xin Chun smiled insincerely, staring at Luo Xikui with a deep, cold gaze. His voice was hoarse, as if it had been ground by sand and gravel: "Four years ago, did you really think that incident was an accident? No, let me tell you, it was deliberate."
Luo Xikui frowned, her hands clenched, and she looked at Xin Chun, asking in a deep voice, "What exactly do you mean?"
"Heh, do you think I would save you if that were really the case? Those men were hired by me, just a bunch of thugs." Xin Chun laughed, a chilling aura in her smile.
Luo Xikui was startled. Although she had previously suspected that the incident was too coincidental, she felt that they were both so young at the time, and Xin Chun would not have set such a trap with a heavy heart.
“Actually, according to my original plan, I didn’t want to save you.” Xin Chun’s expression turned ferocious with regret. “It’s all my fault for softening my heart when I saw how you resisted. If I had hardened my heart, things wouldn’t have ended like this.”
Luo Xikui felt a chill in her heart and looked at Xin Chun in disbelief. It turned out that her original plan was to let those thugs succeed!
"What I saw that day was all fake? What about the abortion?" Luo Xikui stared wide-eyed, her eyes bloodshot.
"It's all fake. It's ridiculous that you've been fooled by me for so many years." Xin Chun laughed until tears streamed down her face.
Luo Xikui suddenly stood up, looking at Xin Chun in disbelief, her whole body trembling with anger. She remembered how much she had blamed herself and how sad she had been because of this incident, and how she had nightmares night after night.
This must be a terrible nightmare for underage girls.
She even experienced mild depression after going to the United States.
She gave up the opportunity to go to Germany, broke her promise to Xu Ziyu, and missed the chance to be there for him during his most difficult time.
Now they're telling her it was all a lie. She's been burdened with guilt and self-blame for four years because of a lie, wasting four years of her life with Xu Ziyu.
"Since you've been lying for so many years, why didn't you just stop hiding it!" Luo Xikui's breathing became rapid with anger.
“Because there’s no need to keep it a secret anymore. I used to be too roundabout, but now I realize that only a simple and direct approach can solve the problem.” Xin Chun touched under the sofa cushion.
Suddenly! A sharp blade appeared in her hand!
The blade gleamed with a cold, sharp light, exuding a chilling aura; its sharpness was terrifying.
Luo Xikui was startled, her hair standing on end. She ran towards the door in a panic, but she couldn't open it. As Xin Chun approached, she became so anxious that she was covered in sweat.
The knife tip rose and stabbed at her!
