Chapter 1688, Side Story 198: They Returned Home

After the first month of the lunar calendar, time flew by and it was already March.

Xu Ziyu and Luo Xikui boarded a plane back to China on the first day of March.

The recovery time was originally estimated to be slower, but thanks to Luo Xi Kui's care, the recovery progress has accelerated considerably. This can perhaps be called the power of love.

When Luo Xikui returned home, Xiang Hengxi was just about to leave, and he was dressed quite formally.

"Brother, where are you going, looking so flashy?" Luo Xikui glanced at his clothes, a casual suit, which was quite rare to see on him.

"He went on a date." Before Xiang Hengxi could answer, his two younger brothers stood up and spoke.

"You've won over An'an?" Luo Xikui was a little surprised; no one in her family had told her.

"It's more than just getting it done." Xiang Hengxi patted Luo Xikui on the shoulder and said smugly, "Little sister, you should learn from this. It took you twenty years to get Ayu done. That's incredibly inefficient."

"Look how smug you are. Go on your date, or you'll be late and get dumped." Luo Xikui slapped his hand away and then directed her two younger brothers to help her carry her suitcase upstairs.

Xiang Hengxi left with a look of elation on her face.

As soon as Luo Xikui entered her room, she saw the wedding dress on the plastic mannequin.

This was the wedding dress she had ordered before she went abroad.

"This was delivered by the wedding dress shop yesterday. The shop assistant said that if it doesn't fit, we can send it back to be altered," Sweet Orange said to her older sister.

"It will definitely fit perfectly. My sister has a better figure than that model," Sweet Taro said sweetly.

Luo Xikui smiled broadly, patted Sweet Taro's head, and said, "You're so sweet-talking, do you have a premonition that I have a gift for you?"

The two grinned broadly, gesturing for a gift.

After distributing the gifts, Luo Xikui locked herself in her room to try on her wedding dress. It fit her perfectly and she looked stunning.

She took her phone, intending to take a picture and send it to Xu Ziyu, but then thought it would be better to surprise him on his wedding day.

She sent Xu Ziyu a message: Tuantuan, the wedding dress has arrived.

A short while later, I received a reply: Five days left. I look forward to seeing you wear it.

She smiled sweetly, her heart filled with joy. She stood in front of the dressing mirror, admiring herself closely, almost driven mad by her own beauty.

Xiang Zhilan had just returned home when she heard that her daughter had come back, so she went upstairs to see her.

She knocked on the door and went in, only to see her daughter looking like a newlywed. She couldn't help but smile and said, "My little Kui has grown so beautiful; she's going to be lucky enough to marry that kid A Yu."

"Mom," Luo Xikui stamped her foot and said coquettishly.

Xiang Zhilan reached out and smoothed Luo Xikui's hair, laughing, "So eager to protect him, huh? I haven't even settled the score with you for running away with him."

"Mom." Luo Xikui hugged Xiang Zhilan's arm and shook it, saying coquettishly, "You know what it feels like to want to be with someone you like."

Xiang Zhilan laughed out loud, realizing that she herself had once had such girlish feelings.

"By the way, you two haven't taken your wedding photos yet. We need to put one up outside the hotel banquet hall. Hurry up and find some time to take them." Xiang Zhilan brought up the important matter.

Luo Xikui smiled, took the tablet, and showed it to Xu Ziyu the wedding photos she and Xu Ziyu had taken in Germany. Then she took out a few rolls of film and said to Xiang Zhilan in a coquettish tone, "I'll have to trouble Mom to develop them for us."

The mother and daughter chatted for a while, and then Luo Xikui remembered to ask about Xin Chun.

"Your Uncle Xiao handled the funeral arrangements; she was buried next to her birth mother." Xiang Zhilan patted her hand and said, "If you want to see her, go and visit her sometime. All grudges are over."

Luo Xikui's expression turned serious, and she nodded.
