Chapter 189 Be Good to Me

By dinner time, Ni Sitian was more relaxed than at noon and was no longer so tense.

Xu Haicheng was in a good mood today, so he asked his butler to bring out his treasured wine that he had kept for many years.

"I've been eyeing this bottle of '82 Lafite for so long, but my sister-in-law is really something, that's why Dad was willing to bring it out," Xu Jiayue joked.

Xu Haicheng smiled and asked the servants to pour water for everyone.

Ni Sitian doesn't have a high alcohol tolerance, but she really loves the aroma of wine. She still remembers the kind Xu Tingchuan gave her last time.

The aroma of this bottle of wine seemed richer and more enticing than the previous one. After it was poured, she couldn't wait to pick it up and sniff it.

Just as she was about to drink, Xu Tingchuan grabbed the cup. Afraid that he wouldn't allow it, she blinked her big eyes at him.

Xu Tingchuan's heart softened when she looked at him with those animal-like eyes. He let go of her hand and instructed her, "Drink slowly."

"Ah Chuan, don't be such a spoilsport. Drinking is all about having fun." Xu Haicheng liked Ni Sitian's straightforward personality and immediately protected her, saying, "Sitian, drink as much as you want. Dad has plenty of wine in storage here."

"Thank you, Dad." Ni Sitian smiled happily, stuck out her tongue at Xu Tingchuan with a hint of pride, and took a sip of her wine.

The wine entered the mouth and, like the sweetest morning dew, slowly flowed into the stomach, permeating the internal organs and the entire body.

The aroma of wine seems to surround you, and if you close your eyes, you'll have the illusion of being in a vineyard.

Ni Sitian really liked the taste of the wine; a slight smile curved her lips as she took another sip.

Seeing how readily Ni Sitian drank, Xu Haicheng was in high spirits and had the butler bring out two more bottles of fine wine.

After dinner, everyone drank quite a bit of alcohol, and Xu Tingchuan and Ni Sitian stayed overnight.

Red wine has a slow onset of action, and Ni Sitian felt pretty good after drinking it. She pulled Xu Tingchuan to watch the fountain in the yard.

The fountain at night is especially beautiful when illuminated by colored lights, its spray resembling neon lights.

Ni Sitian was a little drunk. She took out a coin and wanted to use the fountain as a wishing well. After tossing in a coin, she closed her eyes, put her hands together, and made a wish in a low voice.

Xu Tingchuan looked at her under the lamp, her cheeks flushed, revealing a charming and adorable side, and couldn't help but pull her into his arms.

"What did you wish for just now?" he asked softly, stroking her long hair.

Ni Sitian looked up, her eyes slightly unfocused, and grinned foolishly: "Hehe, I hope we can always be as happy as we are at this moment."

Xu Tingchuan placed his large hand on her flushed cheek, gently stroking it with his thumb, his eyes filled with a smile: "Silly girl."

"I'm not stupid." Ni Sitian opened her arms and hugged Xu Tingchuan, saying in a drunken haze, "I know you're good to me, really good to me."

Xu Tingchuan smiled faintly, his dark eyes sparkling like stars.

"You have to always be good to me, always be good to me..." Ni Sitian's consciousness was already a little blurry, and she was so drunk that she was rambling incoherently: "Then I'll consider liking you just a little bit... just a little bit..."

Xu Tingchuan chuckled helplessly, put her arm around his neck, bent down, hooked her legs, picked her up horizontally, and carried her into the house.

He carried her upstairs to the second floor, into the bedroom, put her on the bed, took off her dress, changed her into his pajamas, and then washed her face, hands, and feet.

Finally, I covered her with a blanket, watched her sleep soundly, and kissed her forehead.
