Ni Sitian stared blankly at the man in front of her. His thick black eyebrows, deep eyes, high nose, and sexy lips were so handsome that it was impossible to look away.
She stared straight at him, her eyes suddenly reddening, her lips trembling slightly, and she said with a sob through her nose, "I... I thought you were gone."
Xu Tingchuan gazed at her intently for a long while.
Suddenly, he reached out and grabbed her arm, pulling her into his embrace.
He tightened his arms around her, holding her tightly as if trying to embed her into his body.
She raised her arms and wrapped them around his lean waist, hugging him tightly, burying her face in his chest, her nose filled with his unique, clean, and refreshing scent.
The two embraced quietly, seemingly shutting out the surrounding crowds and noise. In this space, it was as if they only had each other.
However, the hug was very short-lived, as an announcement came over the loudspeaker that passengers could now check in and board their flights from Los Angeles.
Ni Sitian lifted her head from Xu Tingchuan's embrace, her almond-shaped eyes sparkling as she looked at him, and pursed her lips: "It's time to board the plane."
"Mmm," Xu Tingchuan responded, but still did not let go of her.
Ni Sitian buried herself in Xu Tingchuan's arms again, took a deep breath of his scent, and mumbled in his embrace, "It's time to board the plane."
"I know." Xu Tingchuan hugged her tightly, gently stroking her long hair with his large hand, and said softly, "Let me hug you a little longer."
Ni Sitian clutched his clothes tightly, leaned against his chest, and listened to his strong heartbeat, feeling even more reluctant to part.
The announcement came on again; it was the final time for ticket checking.
Ni Sitian pulled herself out of Xu Tingchuan's arms and grinned, "Let's go, we're going to be late."
Xu Tingchuan took Ni Sitian's hand and looked at her intently. "Let's go together."
Ni Sitian was slightly stunned, and before she could react, Xu Tingchuan pulled her away.
At that moment, she didn't care about anything else and just wanted to follow him.
Unfortunately, the reality was that she didn't have a passport or a plane ticket, so she couldn't board the plane at all.
After reaching the ticket checkpoint, she withdrew her hand, looked at Xu Tingchuan with a smile, and said softly, "I'll wait for you to come back."
After his impulsive act, Xu Tingchuan came to his senses. He was going abroad, and the work there would be very demanding. It was impossible for him to actually take Ni Sitian with him.
He raised his hand and placed it on Ni Sitian's head, gently stroking her hair with his large palm. He looked at her with deep and gentle eyes, saying, "I'll call you when I arrive."
“Mm.” Ni Sitian nodded, her eyes fixed on him.
This separation came even more suddenly than the last, and the places we went to were across most of the globe, making even the longing feel too distant.
She couldn't help but throw herself into Xu Tingchuan's arms again, hugging his waist and softly reminding him, "Eat well over there, and drink less alcohol even when you're socializing."
"Yes, I know." Xu Tingchuan lowered his head, took a deep breath of the fragrance in her hair, and gently kissed the crown of her head.
Ni Sitian released her arms, stepped out of his embrace, looked up at him, and gave him a big smile: "Go on, have a good day at work."
Xu Tingchuan cupped her face in his hands, gently stroking the smooth, delicate skin of her cheeks, wanting to etch her smile into his heart.
Seeing their reluctance to part, Assistant Yu had no choice but to bite the bullet and go over to remind Xu Tingchuan that there was only one minute left before boarding.
Xu Tingchuan lowered his hands and embraced Ni Sitian again.
