Chapter 255 A Jealous Person

Ni Sitian took a while to retract her mouth. She remembered that Miss Jiang was somewhat domineering and bossy towards Qin Mubei. She couldn't imagine what the situation would have been like if Xu Tingchuan hadn't admitted his mistake and had dragged Miss Jiang to get married.

"So she met you beforehand? You didn't meet her?" Ni Sitian was still a little confused. That day, Miss Jiang had specifically greeted them.

"I don't know, maybe I've seen it at some banquets, but I didn't pay attention," Xu Tingchuan said casually.

“That Miss Jiang is quite pretty, didn’t you really notice her?” Ni Sitian asked suspiciously.

"Is it pretty?" Xu Tingchuan didn't show any particular expression, he just shook his head: "I don't think so."

"Really?" Ni Sitian raised an eyebrow in disbelief. That Miss Jiang was fair-skinned, beautiful, and had long legs. How could she not think she was pretty?

"I didn't pay close attention either," Xu Tingchuan replied casually to Ni Sitian as he picked up the document.

Ni Sitian was skeptical. Logically speaking, men would take a second look at a beautiful woman. Did he really not notice?

"So what kind of person do you think is pretty?" she asked Xu Tingchuan with interest and curiosity.

Xu Tingchuan looked up at her, stared at her for a long time, and said nothing.

Ni Sitian felt that this situation was the same as when she asked him what kind of girl he liked a couple of days ago, and her heart couldn't help but pound. Was he going to say that she was pretty?

Thinking about it this way, Ni Sitian couldn't help but smile, feeling a sweet warmth in her heart.

Unexpectedly, he suddenly withdrew his gaze, turned to look at the documents, and said indifferently, "Xiang Zhilan and Jiayue are very beautiful."

Upon hearing this, Ni Sitian's smile immediately faded, showing some disappointment.

But she had to admit that Xu Tingchuan was right; Zhi Lan and Jia Yue were both great beauties, one like a summer flower and the other like an autumn moon, each with their own unique beauty.

In his aesthetic sense, she probably wouldn't even qualify as a flower like baby's breath for decoration.

Ni Sitian felt frustrated as she thought about it, and stopped talking. She turned her head to look out the window, pulled the blanket up to cover part of her face.

Sigh, I was really presumptuous just now, how embarrassing.

I initially thought beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but it turns out his aesthetic sense is actually quite rational.

Ni Sitian was so frustrated that she wanted to cover her face with the blanket.

Xu Tingchuan looked up and saw her little movement. He reached out and pulled the blanket down a bit, saying, "Don't suffocate."

Upon hearing his words, she pulled the blanket up even higher, covering her head, and ignored him.

Xu Tingchuan suppressed a laugh, finding her sulking antics extremely amusing.

He deliberately stopped trying to persuade her, to see how long she could keep herself quiet.

After not hearing any movement from Xu Tingchuan for a while, Ni Sitian slowly pulled the blanket down and peeked out.

Seeing that Xu Tingchuan was completely unconcerned and started flipping through the documents again, she felt a little annoyed and threw the pillow at him.

Xu Tingchuan caught the pillow, suppressing a laugh as he looked at Ni Sitian, "Why are you suddenly angry?"

"Hmph." Ni Sitian turned her head away and ignored him.

"Didn't you just tell me to say it?" Xu Tingchuan leaned over, put the pillow back under her head, pinched her pert little nose, and said innocently, "Why are you unhappy now that I've said it?"

Ni Sitian also felt that her awkwardness was unreasonable, but she just couldn't get over it. Her lips were pouting so much that a soy sauce bottle could hang from them, and she muttered softly, "Don't say other girls are pretty."

Xu Tingchuan chuckled softly and tapped her nose: "Little jealous girl."
