Chapter 265 Follow Your Heart

"Thank you for giving me such great news before I leave." Ni Tianzhen bent down, hugged Ni Sitian, patted her, and smiled, "I can leave in peace now."

She might not be so comfortable knowing they were doing well.

"Sister, you can go to your studies without worry." Ni Sitian hugged Ni Tianzhen back and said, "I will take care of Uncle and Aunt."

"Thank you, Sitian," Ni Tianzhen said gratefully. She released Ni Sitian and smiled faintly, "You've really grown up a lot and matured a lot since then."

"You talk as if you're much older than me, but you're only three years older than me." Ni Sitian pouted.

Ni Tianzhen pinched Ni Sitian's cheek like she did when they were little, and said with a smile, "No matter how many years older I am, I'll always be your older sister."

“Yes, yes, yes,” Ni Sitian replied repeatedly.

After chatting for a few more minutes, Ni Tianzhen got up to say goodbye.

As Ni Sitian saw Ni Tianzhen to the door, she couldn't help but ask, "Sister, will you still believe in love in the future?"

Ni Tianzhen turned around, paused for a moment, and shook her head: "No, once in a lifetime is enough."

Ni Sitian felt a sudden pang of sadness; the innocent Ni Tianzhen who used to tell her how wonderful love was was no more.

"So, do you regret it?" She hesitated for a moment, then asked again.

Her gaze was fixed on Ni Tianzhen.

Ni Tianzhen took a light breath and shook her head again: "I have no regrets. I loved when I wanted to love, and that is still a beautiful thing. Although the ending was tragic, I cannot deny that the process was beautiful."

Ni Sitian nodded as if she understood, but she was still confused. Love seemed like a very risky thing to her.

Seeing her thoughtful expression, Ni Tianzhen understood that she was probably a little afraid of love, probably because her relatives had given her bad examples, which made her hesitant and apprehensive about love.

"Sitian." Ni Tianzhen smiled and reached out to pat her head, saying, "Follow your heart."

Follow your heart.

Ni Sitian now understood what Ni Tianzhen meant. She wanted to tell herself that if she wanted to love, she should love, because the present moment was the most important thing.

"I'm leaving." Ni Tianzhen turned around, strode towards the elevator, and waved goodbye with a flourish.

Ni Sitian watched her enter the elevator, stood there blankly for a moment at the door, and then turned around and went back inside.

She went back into the kitchen and continued working on stewing the beef.

After finishing the stewed beef, she packed all the food into an insulated lunchbox.

She won't ask Xiao Zhang to deliver it today; she wants to bring him lunch herself.

After Ni Sitian figured some things out, she felt much more relaxed.

After a long drive to Xu Tingchuan's company, I walked briskly into the president's private elevator.

Upon reaching the floor, Secretary Xue saw her, greeted her, and led her into the president's office.

"President Xu is in a meeting, please have a seat." Secretary Xue smiled and poured Ni Sitian a glass of warm water.

Ni Sitian noticed that Secretary Xue's belly was slightly protruding, and she was already showing signs of pregnancy, so she became particularly curious.

When Secretary Xue saw her looking at her belly, he said, "It's only been a little over three months. I'm showing earlier than others, or maybe it's because I'm fat."

Ni Sitian smiled; she liked Secretary Xue's humor.

Seeing that she seemed interested in her belly, Secretary Xue asked again, "Would you like to touch it, Madam?"

"Can I touch it?" Ni Sitian's eyes lit up.

Secretary Xue didn't say much, but directly took her hand and placed it on his stomach.
