Ni Sitian counted for a while, then fell silent.
They grew closer and closer, getting to know each other better, and even small habits began to seep into each other's lives.
She didn't consciously try to remember, but she had already unconsciously learned some of Xu Tingchuan's little details.
As time goes by, they may eventually become one, their very bones and blood merging together, leaving the deepest imprint on each other.

"Sitian?" Xu Tingchuan called out softly, looking at her silent expression.
Ni Sitian snapped out of her daze, looked up at Xu Tingchuan, and pursed her lips: "It's nothing. I haven't told you yet, have I? My cousin came over today."
When Xu Tingchuan heard that Ni Tianzhen had come, he understood why she was in low spirits.
“My cousin said she’s going abroad for further studies and might not be back for a long time,” Ni Sitian said casually. As for Su Yan, she felt that they should still trust Xu Tingchuan.
Even if he knew but didn't say anything, there might be a reason why he didn't say anything. Besides, maybe he didn't even know?
“It’s good for her to go for further studies. Didn’t you say that since she married Li Shaoan, her life has revolved around her marriage? Now she can be herself again, isn’t that great?” Xu Tingchuan lowered his head and picked up some food.
"Well, I'm just a little worried because I see she's lost a lot of weight and is going abroad alone."

Compared to green peppers, she could at least barely accept carrots.
Xu Tingchuan smiled with satisfaction.
Ni Sitian picked up a carrot and put it in her mouth, chewing it painfully, then looked at Xu Tingchuan's smile.
Hmph, she doesn't want to like him at all; he's the most annoying person ever!
During dinner, Ni Sitian ate five or six pieces of carrot.
While Xu Tingchuan was washing dishes at the kitchen counter, she stood next to him wiping the gas stove and couldn't help but complain, "Don't cut carrots into chunks next time; thin strips are easier to eat."
"This is stew, so it should be in chunks. How can you stew thin strips?"
"Then don't use carrots to make soup. Use white radishes next time."
"Okay, I'll do as you say."
Ni Sitian smiled with satisfaction, completely unaware that she had already been tricked into his trap.
After washing the dishes, the two sat on the sofa watching TV. Ni Sitian leaned her head on Xu Tingchuan's shoulder, holding a plate of fruit in her hand, eating while watching TV.
While waiting for the commercial break, Ni Sitian casually mentioned to Xu Tingchuan, "Shen Muzhi said he wants Zhilan to go to America with him. Do you think he'll sell Zhilan out?"
The latter sentence was obviously just a joke, but Xu Tingchuan frowned because of the former sentence.
