Ni Sitian pulled her hand away from his grasp, her cheeks puffed out slightly, and glared at him.
"What's wrong?" Xu Tingchuan reached out to take her hand again.
Ni Sitian put her hands behind her back to prevent him from touching her, and bit her lip: "There are so many women who want to marry you."
Upon hearing this, Xu Tingchuan couldn't help but smile: "That's right."
Ni Sitian gave a low hum and turned her head away, sulking a little.
Xu Tingchuan reached behind her and grabbed Ni Sitian's hand.
Ni Sitian tried to pull her hand back, but he held it even tighter.
"Little jealous girl." Xu Tingchuan chuckled softly, whispering in her ear, "That Miss Chen who wants to marry me is ten years old this year."
Ni Sitian was taken aback and looked at him with some disbelief.
“Uncle Chen had his daughter late in life. If you don’t believe me, I’ll take her back and ask him.” Xu Tingchuan made a move to pull her back.
Ni Sitian was too embarrassed to ask such a question, so she quickly grabbed Xu Tingchuan and said, "I believe you, I believe you, okay?"
Xu Tingchuan squeezed Ni Sitian's palm. "So you admit you're a little jealous?"
Ni Sitian turned her head away, not wanting to answer his question.
Before long, more people came over to say hello, and Xu Tingchuan greeted them politely and introduced Ni Sitian to them.
Ni Sitian maintained her smile, but after a while, her lips became a little stiff. Xu Tingchuan, standing beside her, handled the situation with ease, exuding composure and elegance in every gesture.
She had always thought that Xu Tingchuan was not very talkative to outsiders, but for the first time she realized that in social situations, although he was still not very talkative, he was the one who led the conversation and was the absolute focus.
Perhaps it's the natural advantage that those born with a silver spoon in their mouth possess: elegance, composure, and confidence.
Standing beside him, she became increasingly captivated by this man.
"Mr. Xu, a Mr. Li would like to invite you over for a talk." The waiter approached and bowed slightly to Xu Tingchuan respectfully.
Upon hearing this, Xu Tingchuan looked up and saw that the man raised his hand towards him. He frowned slightly. He didn't want to go over, but then he heard the waiter say, "Mr. Li also said that he might as well come over here and greet you."
Ni Sitian was about to look in the direction Xu Tingchuan was looking when Xu Tingchuan subtly moved aside, blocking her view.
"I'm going over there to say hello to a friend. You must be tired from standing in high heels for so long. Go sit in the rest area for a bit, I'll be right back." Xu Tingchuan gently smoothed her stray hairs.
Ni Sitian's ankle was indeed a bit tired, and her cheeks were a little stiff from smiling for so long.
She accepted Xu Tingchuan's gentleness and thoughtfulness, nodded, and walked to the side to rest, watching Xu Tingchuan walk towards his friend.
The distance was quite far, and she couldn't see Mr. Li's face clearly, only vaguely sensing that his skin was somewhat dark.
She wasn't sure if it was just her imagination, but she felt that Mr. Li was also looking at her.
She looked away and took a sip of her juice.
After taking a few sips, she felt as if another gaze was fixed on her back. She turned around and looked towards Mr. Li, only to find that Mr. Li and Xu Tingchuan were both there.
Her eyes looked up, searched around, and finally met a pair of beautiful eyes!
It's Su Yan!
Ni Sitian was slightly startled and stood up. This time, she could definitely see that it was Su Yan!
Su Yan smiled at her, then turned and walked away.
She couldn't help but walk towards the stairs, and once upstairs, she searched for Su Yan among the guests.
"Why are you here?!" A stern voice came from Ni Sitian's side.
