After buying the art supplies, it was already about 6:30. Xu Tingchuan was planning to go home with Ni Sitian for dinner when Pei Yang called, inviting him to get together.
"I have something to do." Xu Tingchuan refused without even thinking.
“It’s a Saturday, what could you possibly have to do? We haven’t gotten together in ages. Gu Chen and Mu Zhi are both coming today, you have to be there.” Pei Yang said with considerable dissatisfaction, “You used to be so busy with work that you’d still get together two or three days a month. Ni Sitian also heard what Pei Yang was saying, and then said to Xu Tingchuan, "Go ahead."

"Is this Pei Yang's girlfriend?" Ni Sitian asked Xu Tingchuan in a low voice.
Xu Tingchuan twitched the corner of his mouth and uttered three words indifferently: "Female sex partner."
Ni Sitian choked, her eyes widening in disbelief.
Although I've met Pei Yang twice and think he has a sophisticated, suave air about him, I don't think he's the type to mess around.
"Just kidding," Xu Tingchuan added, seeing her surprise.
Ni Sitian glared at him playfully, then followed him to the dining table and sat down.
"But it's not entirely a joke." Xu Tingchuan poured Ni Sitian a glass of water and lowered his voice, saying, "She's definitely not a proper girlfriend; she's probably been sent over by his brothers."
Ni Sitian was slightly surprised, but then she remembered that Xu Tingchuan had mentioned Pei Yang's family before. It seemed that this was just as she had imagined: a battle for inheritance in a wealthy family, and they were even playing this kind of drama of giving away women.
"Luckily, you only have one younger sister, Jiayue." Ni Sitian patted her chest with relief.
Although the Xu family was prominent, the number of people in the family was actually quite small, so she didn't have to deal with so many complicated matters.
Xu Tingchuan glanced at Ni Sitian, then hesitated, "Actually, Jia Yue..."
