After returning home, Ni Sitian grabbed her pajamas, took a shower, and then lay down on the bed.
Xu Tingchuan assumed she was very tired, so he didn't disturb her and went to the bathroom to take a shower as well.
After washing up, I came out to find that Ni Sitian was still awake.
He casually tossed the bath towel onto the back of the chair in front of the dressing table, got into bed, hugged Ni Sitian from behind, buried his face in her neck and sniffed. Even though they were using the same shower gel, she seemed to have an extra alluring fragrance.
He was captivated by the fragrance and gently placed delicate kisses on her shoulders and neck.
Ni Sitian knew that his gentle and lingering kisses were meant to arouse her emotions, but she really didn't want to do it today; she wasn't in the mood.
As his hand reached towards the hem of her pajamas, Ni Sitian grabbed his wrist, pulled it away from her, and stepped out of his embrace.
"I'm tired, let's sleep." Ni Sitian yawned, moved her body to the side, and closed her eyes to sleep.
Xu Tingchuan naturally wouldn't force her. He leaned over and kissed her forehead, then reached out and turned off the bedroom light.
As soon as the room darkened, Ni Sitian turned to her side, her back to Xu Tingchuan, and went to sleep.
Xu Tingchuan closed his eyes and fell asleep soon after.
Ni Sitian was perfectly awake. After lying on her side for a long time, her arm became a little numb, so she turned over and lay flat on her back.
After a while, she couldn't help but turn her head to look at Xu Tingchuan.
The room was completely dark, yet she could almost see Xu Tingchuan's features.
He always exudes a gentle tranquility when he sleeps. He has a very good sleeping habit; unless he is holding her or being held by her, he usually sleeps lying flat on his back.
But she was different. Every time she fell asleep, she needed to hold something to sleep with. This stemmed from a fire in the middle of the night when she was five years old. She lacked a sense of security at night.
As Ni Sitian watched, she couldn't help but move closer to him, resting her head on his pillow and leaning it against his shoulder.
As if sensing something, he immediately turned to face her and put his arm around her waist.
She thought he was about to wake up and wanted to get out of his arms, but he was still breathing steadily.
Perhaps he's gotten used to holding her while he sleeps when she's around?
Ni Sitian closed her eyes, nestled against his chest, and slowly drifted off to sleep.
The next day, Ni Sitian woke up to find herself in his arms and immediately pulled away.
Seeing that he was still fast asleep, she got out of bed and went to the bathroom to wash up.
After washing up and changing my clothes, I went downstairs to buy breakfast.
Seven o'clock on weekends is the busiest time for breakfast shops, and she was in the back of a long queue.
By the end of December, the weather was already very cold.
Ni Sitian's cashmere coat was rather thin, and it was positioned right in the windy spot, so the cold wind made her face feel a little stiff.
She waited in line for about ten minutes before it was her turn. She bought soy milk, fried dough sticks, and meat buns. Afraid that they would get cold in the weather, she hugged her breakfast to her arms and walked briskly into the community.
As she entered the building, she bumped into a man's shoulder, causing her breakfast to fall to the ground.
She frowned and bent down to pick up the breakfast bag.
A large hand wearing a black leather glove touched the breakfast bag first. Ni Sitian looked up following the glove and saw a man with dark skin.
"Sorry." The man handed the breakfast to Ni Sitian, a slightly apologetic smile on his face.
Ni Sitian took the breakfast bag and immediately walked past the person toward the elevator.
Although the person had an apologetic smile on their face, their eyes were cold and devoid of warmth, as if they had killed many people. She instinctively felt that they were very dangerous.
