The next day, when Ni Sitian opened her eyes, she saw two sexy, thin lips.
She blinked, looked up, and woke up instantly with a start when she saw Xu Tingchuan's sleeping face so close to hers.
What's wrong with me these past two days? Why am I always hugging Xu Tingchuan when I wake up?
She hadn't forgotten his dark expression yesterday, so it was best to get away from him as soon as possible.
Ni Sitian slowly moved her head out of bed, tiptoed out of bed, washed up, and then went to make breakfast.
She took the red bean buns out of the refrigerator and put them in the steamer to steam.
Although Xu Tingchuan acted a bit crazy yesterday, she generously decided to steam his portion as well today.
Twenty minutes later, her magnanimity did not earn her the response she deserved.
Xu Tingchuan came out dressed in formal attire, but didn't even glance at her before going straight to the entrance to put on his shoes.
Ni Sitian felt that he was deliberately trying to make things difficult for her, so she felt a little annoyed. She took a big bite out of the red bean bun, as if she were biting into his flesh.
"I'm going to work." Xu Tingchuan took his car keys, said casually, and opened the door to leave.
Looking at the remaining red bean paste on the plate, Ni Sitian felt it was a waste, so she quickly packed it into a bag and hurriedly chased after the others.
At this moment, Xu Tingchuan was still waiting for the elevator. She stuffed a bag of red bean buns into his arms, not caring whether he wanted them or not, and then ran back into the house.
Xu Tingchuan looked down at the red bean bun shaped like a little white rabbit, a faint smile in his eyes, and carried it into the elevator.
After Ni Sitian returned to her room, she cleared away the dishes, grumbled twice in frustration, and muttered to herself, "I just don't want to waste food."
After clearing away the dishes, Ni Sitian sat on the sofa with her laptop and continued typing the manuscript she hadn't finished yesterday.
When she's focused, she's completely absorbed and doesn't even notice how time flies by.
After finishing the manuscript and checking for typos, she glanced at the time and realized it was already past 2 a.m.
Ni Sitian quickly shut down her computer, got up, packed her bag, and hurriedly left.
This afternoon she has a class she really likes, but the professor doesn't allow latecomers to enter the classroom.
She left the residential area, hailed a taxi, and headed straight for the school, arriving just in time for class.
However, the professor was in an unusually high spirits today, and the class actually stretched into two sessions.
She hadn't had lunch yet, so the "empty city strategy" went on for almost two hours.
By the time get out of class ended, she was starving.
Just then, a bottle of yogurt was placed in front of her.
Ni Sitian slowly looked up and saw a male classmate she didn't recognize standing in front of her desk. She blinked in confusion.
The boy didn't say much, put down the yogurt, and turned to leave.
Ni Sitian was slow to react; by the time she came to her senses, the person had already disappeared.
She blinked at the bottle of yogurt, and after thinking for a moment, wondered if this meant the boy was showing interest in her.
She quickly shook her head; it was unwise to be presumptuous.
"Ni Sitian, what are you daydreaming about?" A voice as melodious as a nightingale's rang out.
Ni Sitian looked up and saw a beautiful woman with a bright and charming appearance leaning against the door frame, raising her eyebrows and smiling at her.
"Why didn't you let me know you were coming to school?" Ni Sitian immediately packed her backpack and walked towards her with a smile.
Xiang Zhilan glanced at the yogurt in her hand and clicked her tongue twice: "Ni Sitian, you're amazing. A married woman still has such great charm."
Ni Sitian quickly covered Xiang Zhilan's mouth, then glanced guiltily at the students scattered in the corridor. Seeing that they hadn't heard, she breathed a sigh of relief and let go of his mouth.
Xiang Zhilan narrowed her eyes, took Ni Sitian's arm, and whispered in her ear, "So your husband is still an unregistered person here?"
"I haven't graduated yet, so I don't want to attract attention."
"Oh, so you know that getting married while still in school is a rare occurrence. Then why did you get married without saying a word?" Xiang Zhilan teased.
"I just met a rich guy and immediately had to hook up with him," Ni Sitian chuckled.
"So, may I ask how this wealthy lady will entertain me today?" Xiang Zhilan asked, ambushing him with a large snake, trying to extort dinner from him.
Ni Sitian was also starving, and said generously, "You can eat whatever you want."
Xiang Zhilan didn't stand on ceremony with her and drove straight to the Grand Court Hotel.
The Grand Hotel is a newly built five-star hotel in Yi Hai City. Their rooftop revolving restaurant is particularly famous, known for its delicious food and high prices.
Ni Sitian silently mourned for her empty wallet, but then she thought that since it was a welcome dinner for Xiang Zhilan, she might as well splurge this once in a while.
Upon entering the restaurant, a waiter led them to a table in the main dining area and handed them menus with a smile.
Ni Sitian wasn't really used to coming to such a high-end place, so after sitting down, she asked Xiang Zhilan to take the order.
Xiang Zhilan, on the other hand, was much more composed, ordering as if she had eaten there a thousand times before.
While waiting for the food to be served, Xiang Zhilan suddenly brought it up: "I ran into Qin Mubei on my way to your school. Did you know he went back to China?"
Ni Sitian paused, her hand still holding the water glass. She lowered her head, took a sip to hide her unease, and said indifferently, "I don't know."
Xiang Zhilan's eyebrows twitched slightly as she looked closely at Ni Sitian, then asked hesitantly, "You haven't forgotten him yet?"
