"But I miss you."
These words made Ni Sitian's ears burn, and she coughed lightly: "Seeing how sincere you are, I grant your request. I'll come find you in a bit."
She happily put away the phone, changed her clothes, and looked at herself in the full-length mirror for a while.
She put on light makeup and wore the apple earrings that Xu Tingchuan had given her.
After getting ready, I changed into a pair of ankle boots and went out.
I was about to leave the community to hail a taxi when I saw that familiar Bentley parked at the entrance.
Xiao Zhang got out of the car and opened the door. "Please, young mistress."
When Ni Sitian realized it was Xu Tingchuan's arrangement, she felt a warm glow in her heart and immediately got into the car.
The car quickly arrived at the entrance of Xu Tingchuan's company. Ni Sitian got out of the car and went straight to the president's office floor without any hindrance.
As soon as the elevator doors opened, Ni Sitian saw Xu Tingchuan and thought he was there to greet her. Just as she was about to speak, she noticed a tall, beautiful foreign woman next to her. She was blonde with blue eyes, had a curvaceous figure, and wore a business suit that made her look incredibly alluring and glamorous.
Ni Sitian saw that her hand was holding Xu Tingchuan's hand, and that her eyes were shining as she looked at Xu Tingchuan, her admiration was obvious.
Xu Tingchuan caught a glimpse of Ni Sitian in the elevator, and a faint smile appeared on his lips.
The foreign woman rattled off a string of words to Xu Tingchuan, who responded with a few simple replies.
Ni Sitian couldn't understand what they were saying. Finally, she saw the foreign woman look at her with surprise, and then smile with a hint of apology and embarrassment.
Xu Tingchuan reached out and pulled the bewildered Ni Sitian out of the elevator. The foreign woman then led several subordinates into the elevator.
After the elevator doors closed, Ni Sitian looked at Xu Tingchuan and asked curiously, "Why was she looking at me like that just now?"
“Because I told her you are my wife.” Xu Tingchuan led her into the office.
Ni Sitian felt this explanation didn't make sense. If that was all there was to it, it wouldn't be surprising if the foreign girl had a surprised expression, but why did she seem embarrassed and apologetic?
"Then what was that pile of things she said to you before?" Ni Sitian felt there was definitely something strange about this.
After closing the office door, Xu Tingchuan changed the subject, asking, "Would you like some water?"
This abrupt change of topic made Ni Sitian even more suspicious. She narrowed her eyes and interrogated him, "Mr. Xu, please answer my question directly."
"Ahem." Xu Tingchuan coughed lightly and said calmly, "She just asked me to have dinner with her, and I declined."
"Just invited you to dinner?" Ni Sitian clearly didn't believe her, and snorted, "The way she looked at you made it seem like she wanted to eat you up."
Xu Tingchuan's temples twitched twice. Although what she said was not quite right, it was pretty much true. The French woman had invited him to dinner at the hotel where she was staying temporarily, and when she shook hands, she had scratched his palm. The implication couldn't be clearer.
He immediately introduced Ni Sitian as his wife, which is why the woman looked embarrassed.
"I guessed right?" Ni Sitian frowned, annoyed, when she saw Xu Tingchuan's expression. "She really did ask you to go to a hotel, right in front of me!"
Xu Tingchuan put his arm around Ni Sitian's shoulder and patted her gently to comfort her, "You're overthinking it."
"Hmph, do you think I'm stupid?" Ni Sitian removed his hand from her shoulder, not wanting to look at him, and turned to leave.
Xu Tingchuan reached out and pulled her back, hugging her from behind, and said somewhat aggrievedly, "I didn't agree to it."
Ni Sitian struggled in his arms, her face puffed out in anger: "What else do you want?"
