Ni Sitian felt something was off when she heard Xu Tingchuan turning the pages of his book. Could he really be trying to test her method?
She desperately wanted to lift the covers to see what was going on, but her reason told her that Xu Tingchuan was definitely lying to her; how could he really be with the book…
"The size of the hollow part is just right." Xu Tingchuan said deliberately, his hand holding a book page and his eyes glancing at Ni Sitian.
Ni Sitian's heart trembled slightly. She couldn't imagine Xu Tingchuan doing such a lewd thing, but the image in her mind was one of people rushing out in a frenzy.
She couldn't hold back any longer and suddenly threw off the covers and sat up, only to find him just playing with the pages of a book, looking at her with a smile in his eyes.
"You bastard! You lied to me again!" Ni Sitian pounced on him, straddled him, and pounded his chest.
Xu Tingchuan grasped her hands, raised an eyebrow and smiled: "I've already said it, all's fair in war."
Ni Sitian, having her hand captured, lowered her body and tried to bite him with her teeth.
As she bit his neck, she smelled a strange scent. She stopped, straightened up, and looked at Xu Tingchuan suspiciously: "What's that smell on you?"
The smell wasn't strong; you might not even smell it unless you got very close.
Ni Sitian felt something was off. Remembering the duck soup with bamboo shoots she had at noon, she immediately reached out to unbutton Xu Tingchuan's pajamas.
"Don't be in such a hurry," Xu Tingchuan said, trying to cover up his feelings, and grabbed her hand.
Ni Sitian stared into his eyes, her expression utterly serious: "Let go."
Xu Tingchuan had no choice but to let go, knowing he couldn't hide it any longer. He released her hand and let her undress him.
When Ni Sitian saw the red rashes on Xu Tingchuan's shoulder, her eyes welled up with tears. She bit her lip and said, "You weren't feeling well at noon, but you hid it from me. Did you not want me to know?"
"It's nothing." Xu Tingchuan raised his hand to cup Ni Sitian's face and gently stroked the corner of her eye.
"Getting a rash is a small matter. Do you have to treat it like Wen Nuan's to make it a big deal?!" Ni Sitian was angry that he kept it from her, but she also knew that he was afraid that she would worry and that she would blame herself. She was the one who brought him that bowl of soup.
"Silly girl, everything's alright." Xu Tingchuan saw that her eyes were red with worry, so he sat up, hugged her, and gently patted her back.
Ni Sitian didn't actually cry; she just felt a little sore, but after taking a deep breath, she recovered.
She stepped out of Xu Tingchuan's arms and held out her hand to him, "Where's the ointment?"
Xu Tingchuan reached into his bedside table and took out a tube of white ointment, placing it in Ni Sitian's palm.
"Lie down properly," Ni Sitian commanded sternly.
Xu Tingchuan had no choice but to obey, lying down with his back facing her.
Ni Sitian peeled off his clothes, revealing that his entire back was covered in red rashes, much more severe than his front.
It must be because he applied the ointment himself, but couldn't reach the back, and only applied it to the front, so the back was more serious.
She bent down, twisted open the ointment, squeezed a little into her palm, and applied it to Xu Tingchuan's shoulders and back, gently and evenly massaging him to spread the ointment and let it seep into his skin.
She bent down and gently blew on his back, hoping the medicine would take effect quickly.
Xu Tingchuan got a little aroused by her rubbing and blowing on him. He quickly sat up, grabbed Ni Sitian's wrist, pulled her into his arms, and held her tightly.
Ni Sitian struggled slightly and scolded, "Stop it! You still have the mood to deal with that strong smell of ointment!"
"I don't want to do anything, I just want to hug you." Xu Tingchuan leaned on her shoulder, closed his eyes, and gently inhaled her sweet fragrance.
