"You're back?!" Ni Sitian held her phone, her paintbrush pausing on the sketch paper, her eyes filled with surprise.
"Yeah, I got back late last night. I didn't call you because I didn't want to disturb you and Mr. Xu's good time," Xiang Zhilan teased on the other end of the phone.
Ni Sitian's ears burned when she heard this. Someone had indeed done "good deeds" to her in the middle of the night last night.
"Tsk tsk, looks like I was right. You two have been working so hard, when are you going to give me a godson?" Xiang Zhilan could already imagine Ni Sitian's blushing and embarrassed expression, and laughed twice.
"You don't want a goddaughter?" Ni Sitian said with a smile, her tone slightly annoyed.
"Yes, I'll treat both godsons and godsdaughters equally," Xiang Zhilan said with a smile, then changed the subject: "How do you feel about the gift I gave you?"
"You're one to talk! That thing you gave me made me so embarrassed." Ni Sitian felt awkward just thinking about it. Luckily, Xu Tingchuan didn't actually make her wear it last night.

Meanwhile, Xiang Zhilan was holding her phone, chuckling awkwardly at Shen Muzhi, "Why do you walk so quietly?"
Shen Muzhi gave her a deep look, but didn't answer. He only said, "Take Jinji to get a beauty treatment this afternoon."
"Oh." Xiang Zhilan used to be very afraid of dogs, but now she prefers to stay with them. She quickly slipped out to find Jinji.
Shen Muzhi frowned as he watched her run away, saying that she was unpredictable, haha.
As soon as Xiang Zhilan went out, Jinji ran towards her, but instead of pouncing on her like before, it just wagged its tail. She thought it was just a little unfamiliar with her because they hadn't seen each other for a while, so she didn't think much of it and simply took its leash and led it for a walk in the yard.
Shen Muzhi watched from the second-floor balcony as the man and the dog played happily, and his composed expression softened slightly.
