Chapter 401 Sending a Star

She froze, her eyes widening instantly.

After realizing what was happening, she immediately closed her eyes and responded to his kiss.

His tongue deftly parted her lips, the slightly bitter taste of chocolate sweeping through her mouth and brushing over each of her small teeth.

The bittersweet taste of dark chocolate spread in her mouth, and she awkwardly and shyly returned his kiss, their lips and tongues entwining, exchanging the air in each other's mouths.

After a passionate and lingering kiss, she was slightly out of breath, looking at Xu Tingchuan with watery eyes. It took her a while to recover before she said reproachfully, "Where's the sweetness in that?"

Xu Tingchuan grasped her hand, placed it on his chest, and gazed at her intently. "It's very sweet here."

Ni Sitian understood what he meant, and her ears turned red. He must be very happy to receive the chocolate she made herself. Her efforts of several hours had not been in vain.

She withdrew her hand and presented her second gift.

Upon seeing that it was a wallet, Xu Tingchuan immediately took out all the cards and money from his original wallet and stuffed them into the new one.

"Thank you, I like it very much." He smiled at Ni Sitian, then asked疑惑地, "You said this is the second one, so what is the third one?"

"I'll keep it a secret too, you'll know later," Ni Sitian said with a smile, keeping everyone in suspense.

The two chatted idly, and time passed by. When the candles were almost burned out, Xu Tingchuan got up and lit the lamp.

Ni Sitian glanced at the wall clock; it was only ten minutes to nine. What gift was he going to give her?

Xu Tingchuan walked leisurely to the study and moved the astronomical telescope to the balcony.

"You're not inviting me to stargaze, are you? But it's Valentine's Day, not the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl festival on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month." Ni Sitian looked at him suspiciously as he adjusted the angle of the telescope.

She walked up behind him, curiously leaning closer to see what he was looking at.

Xu Tingchuan adjusted the angle, took two steps back, pulled Ni Sitian to his chest, and said with a faint smile, "Take a look."

Ni Sitian thought there was something special, so she went over to take a look. Through the telescope, she saw only a few stars, nothing special, except for one that was particularly bright.

She was about to turn around and ask Xu Tingchuan.

Xu Tingchuan's hand went around her from behind, one arm around her waist, the other supporting the binoculars, and he whispered in her ear, "Look at the brightest one."

Ni Sitian looked over again, but after several glances, she still couldn't see any difference from the other stars.

“This star is called Sitian,” Xu Tingchuan said softly, his arm around her.

Ni Sitian paused, then chuckled silently: "How could there possibly be a star with that name? Are you trying to make me happy?"

Xu Tingchuan handed the certificate for naming the star to Ni Sitian, looking at her intently. "You once said you wanted a star, but I probably can't pluck one from the sky, so I'll settle for second best. From now on, this star will be your signature."

Ni Sitian took the certificate handed to her by Xu Tingchuan and saw that it was a planet naming certificate, and her name was indeed written on it.

She looked up at Xu Tingchuan in disbelief, not because she thought it was difficult to obtain the naming rights, but because she hadn't expected him to take her joke so seriously.

"Why are you so happy you've gone crazy?" Xu Tingchuan placed his hand on the top of her head and gently rubbed it.

Ni Sitian snapped out of her daze and threw herself into his arms.

How could this man be so cunning? How could he be so good to her that she can never leave him again!
