Chapter 43 A Slap

After Ni Sitian and Xiang Zhilan met up, they took a taxi together to the IP address they had found.

This is an internet cafe on Xinfeng Road. The post was made around 8 PM last night.

So the two asked the internet cafe owner to show them the surveillance footage from that night.

Because the camera footage has not been cleaned, the video is somewhat blurry.

Ni Sitian stared intently at the screen, and finally, someone she recognized appeared on it.

"How could it be her?" She watched in astonishment as the person went into the internet cafe and came out around 8:30.

“This isn’t from your dorm…” Xiang Zhilan frowned.

Ni Sitian asked the owner for a copy of the video, strode out of the internet cafe, and hailed a taxi.

Xiang Zhilan was a step behind and didn't keep up with Ni Sitian, so she immediately called her to tell her not to act impulsively.

Ni Sitian returned to school and went straight to the large lecture hall.

"Zhao Jiajia, come out for a moment." Ni Sitian knocked on the door, meeting the scrutinizing gazes of her classmates, and looked directly at the girl sitting in the front row.

Zhao Jiajia paused for a moment, then stood up and walked out of the classroom, a gentle smile on her face as she approached Ni Sitian, her voice soft: "Sitian, there is..."

"Did you post that?" Ni Sitian didn't waste any more words with her and went straight to the point.

Zhao Jiajia's expression froze for a second, then she blinked innocently, "What are you talking about?"

“From 7:30 to 8:30 last night, at computer number 201 in the internet cafe on Xinfeng Road.” Ni Sitian stared straight at her, gripping the USB drive tightly in her hand, and said stiffly, “I’m not here to hear your explanation, I want to ask you why?”

Before seeing the surveillance video, Ni Sitian's biggest suspicion was Li Xin, because it was normal for Li Xin to have been displeased with her these past few days because of the postgraduate recommendation quota.

She never expected it would be Zhao Jiajia, whom she had always thought she got along well with. And these past few days, Zhao Jiajia had pretended to help persuade Li Xin to ease their relationship. She didn't know if she was really persuading her or stirring things up behind the scenes.

If she could, she really wanted to award her the Best Actress award. Her innocent and timid expression made it seem like she was the one bullying her.

It's so hypocritical it's disgusting.

"I have been to internet cafes, but I still don't understand what you mean," Zhao Jiajia denied innocently.

"Here is the evidence. Are you still going to pretend to be stupid and deny it?" Ni Sitian held up the USB drive in front of her.

Zhao Jiajia glanced at the USB drive, her face turning slightly pale.

Many students passing by in the hallway had stopped to watch their argument. She knew she couldn't deny it anymore, so she gritted her teeth and quickly reached out to snatch it.

Ni Sitian reacted quickly and dodged, grabbing Zhao Jiajia's hand with one hand.

Zhao Jiajia tried to snatch it again, and the two started to tug at each other.

With a ripping sound, Ni Sitian's sleeve was torn open.

She frowned and slapped Zhao Jiajia across the face.

The slap stunned everyone watching. Zhao Jiajia covered her cheek, her eyes red as she glared at Ni Sitian.

The surrounding discussions leaned towards Zhao Jiajia, who seemed to be the weaker party.

After Ni Sitian slapped him, her own palm was numb with pain, which showed how hard the slap was.

She glared back at Zhao Jiajia defiantly. Although she was always gentle and harmless, it didn't mean she was weak and easily bullied. She would definitely not let this matter go so easily.

Finally, the commotion in the hallway attracted the attention of the teachers from the Student Affairs Office, and the two people in the standoff were taken back to the office.

"You're not children anymore, what conflict could possibly warrant violence?" The teacher pushed up her glasses, her gaze sweeping back and forth between Ni Sitian and Zhao Jiajia. Seeing that neither of them spoke, her face darkened: "Will you contact your parents yourselves, or should I do it?"

Ni Sitian looked up in surprise. They were all college students, who would contact their parents for something like this? Besides, her father and that mother and daughter were both abroad, so she had no parents to contact.
