Xu Tingchuan spent a long time coaxing Ni Sitian before she gradually calmed down.

Ni Sitian grasped Xu Tingchuan's hand, her tears smearing onto his hand.
After a while, she slowly stopped crying. Not wanting Xu Tingchuan to worry about her too much, she looked up at him and smiled, "The noodles are so delicious."
"Silly girl." How could Xu Tingchuan not see that this little fool was feeling sad for someone else again?
Ni Sitian sniffed and lowered her head to focus on eating her noodles.
After they finished eating, Xu Tingchuan cleared away the dishes and then carried Ni Sitian from the sofa to the bed, wrung out a towel and wiped her face.
Just as he was about to turn around and take the towel back to the bathroom, Ni Sitian grabbed his wrist. He looked down at her longing expression, then casually placed the towel on the bedside table, lay down next to her, and gently embraced her.
"Sleep now, I'm here with you. I'll always be by your side." Xu Tingchuan lowered his head and kissed the crown of her head, gently making his promise.
Ni Sitian nestled into his arms, clutching his clothes tightly, and closed her eyes, exhausted.
Xu Tingchuan gently patted her back, coaxing her like a child, and only stopped after confirming that her breathing was steady and long.
Looking at her uneasy sleeping face, his expression slowly darkened. Did Jiang Yiyi really think that he could slander and humiliate his wife like this just because of the Jiang family?
Xu Tingchuan quietly got out of bed, went to the study, and made a phone call.
Her complexion improved slightly after she hung up the phone.

"A doting mother spoils her son! Bring that rebellious daughter back to me right now!" Old Master Jiang ignored Madam Jiang's explanations; he knew his granddaughter quite well.
At this moment, Jiang Yiyi had just returned from partying at a bar, her cheeks still flushed from drinking. She was happy because she had managed to mess with Ni Sitian, so she had partied all night.
"Grandpa." Jiang Yiyi, oblivious to the awkward atmosphere, strolled over.
When Grandpa Jiang saw Jiang Yiyi's appearance, his anger surged. He no longer cared that she was a girl and swung his cane to hit her hard on the back.
