Ni Sitian was awakened by a nightmare in the middle of the night and sat up abruptly!
Xu Tingchuan was awakened by Ni Sitian's sudden movement. He reached out and turned on the light, squinted, opened his eyes, sat up, put his arm around Ni Sitian's shoulder, and asked in a sleepy and hoarse voice, "What's wrong?"
Ni Sitian was stunned. After pulling herself out of the nightmare, she realized that she had woken Xu Tingchuan up. Feeling very embarrassed, she shook her head and said, "It's okay, I just had a dream. Go back to sleep."
"What dream did you have? Can you tell me about it?" Xu Tingchuan coaxed softly.
Ni Sitian looked at Xu Tingchuan, turned slightly to the side, raised her arms to hug him, buried her face in his chest, and said in a trembling voice, still shaken by fear, "I dreamed of a pool of blood, and Zhang Yijia's child crawled out of that pool of blood..."
"Silly girl, her miscarriage has nothing to do with you." Xu Tingchuan gently patted her back and coaxed her softly, "Don't be afraid, don't scare yourself, I'm here."
Ni Sitian nodded, hugging Xu Tingchuan tightly, her body still trembling slightly.
Xu Tingchuan knew she was terrified, and after being interrogated for so long at the police station today, she must be very tense.

After a while, he got up, changed his clothes, and went out for his morning exercise.
When it was almost time, I brought back breakfast for Ni Sitian.
Ni Sitian woke up again at around nine o'clock. Usually, Xu Tingchuan would have already left for work by this time, but today when she woke up, she saw him still by her side, which made her feel much more at ease.
After breakfast, the police called and asked her to go to the police station again to give a statement.
“I’ll go with you.” Xu Tingchuan squeezed Ni Sitian’s hand.
Ni Sitian was no longer as scared as she had been yesterday. With him by her side, she felt like she could muster 200% of her courage.
Around 1 p.m., the two went to the police station together.
As he entered, he bumped into Jiang Yiyi, who was coming out.
