Normally, Xu Tingchuan would have been overjoyed to hear her say "okay," and would have immediately lowered his head to kiss her passionately.
But today, knowing how she feels, he naturally couldn't possibly want her right now.
With her caring for him like that, that's enough.
Xu Tingchuan released her, lowered his head and gave her a light kiss on the lips, then patted her head. "I'm hungry, I don't have the energy right now, I'll eat you tonight."
Ni Sitian's ears turned red, but instead of scolding her for being indecent, she lowered her eyes shyly and nodded.
"I'm going to cook noodles now. You change your clothes and wash your face to relax." She felt particularly embarrassed after agreeing to what he asked, so she pushed him into the bathroom, then turned and walked towards the kitchen, her face flushed.
She was worried that Xu Tingchuan was very hungry, so she prepared to make a simple tomato and egg noodle dish. The slightly sour tomato and egg noodle dish should be easier to eat.
After changing his clothes and washing his hands, Xu Tingchuan wanted to come into the kitchen to help her.
Ni Sitian pushed him outside and told him to wait for his food there.
He smiled faintly, accepted her kindness, walked back to the living room, sat on the sofa, and looked for the remote to turn on the TV. He then saw a book titled "Hot Mom's Pregnancy Diary".
He picked it up casually, flipped through it, and saw that it was a very interesting and detailed pregnancy comic.
She probably really wants to have children; she must have bought this book at the bookstore today.
Xu Tingchuan lowered his eyes, his heart filled with complex emotions, a bittersweet feeling.
Ni Sitian brought out a tray, placed it on the dining table, and then looked up and called to Xu Tingchuan that it was time to eat noodles. She happened to see that he was holding the pregnancy diary in his hand.
She immediately became extremely nervous, quickly walked over to Xu Tingchuan, grabbed the book from his hand, hid it behind her back, and stammered anxiously, "I, I was just looking at it casually."
Xu Tingchuan knew she was worried that he might have some lingering concerns, so he looked up at her with a faint smile, stood up, and said, "The noodles smell so good."
He then walked toward the dining table.
Ni Sitian watched his back as he pretended to be fine, and her nose tingled with tears. But she couldn't let him see it, so she sniffed, hid the pregnancy diary, and walked away pretending nothing was wrong.
As Xu Tingchuan ate his noodles, he pulled out an extra fried egg from underneath, a slight smile playing on his lips.
Once, when he was cooking noodles for her and Jia Yue, he added an extra egg for her. It turned out she remembered that.
"Your cooking skills have improved a lot." Xu Tingchuan's words were absolutely true.
I remember when we first got married, her cooking was like a biological weapon, but now it's become somewhat palatable. He has seen all the efforts and changes she has made for him.
"There's still some in the pot, have more if you're not satisfied." Ni Sitian smiled slightly, but there was still a lingering sadness in her eyes.
Xu Tingchuan could only pretend not to see it and continued eating his noodles with his head down.
Finally, he finished eating everything in the pot and felt a little full.
Ni Sitian smiled and told him to go and rest for a while, while she quickly started cleaning up the pots and pans.
After washing up, she saw Xu Tingchuan sitting on the sofa watching TV, so she went over and snuggled into his arms.
Xu Tingchuan hugged her and lowered his head to kiss the center of her hair.
The news was playing on TV, but Ni Sitian's mind wasn't on it at all. She was wondering if she should express that she didn't want children anymore, to ease his psychological burden a little.
Maybe he was so rough with her in bed because he wanted her to get pregnant; he must have been under a lot of psychological pressure.
