Chapter 5 Divorce Agreement

Ni Sitian was furious. How could he be drunk and clinging to her with lipstick marks left by another woman?

"Xu Tingchuan! Let me go!" Ni Sitian pushed him away, but couldn't break free from his embrace. Instead, his large hand pressed her head down, pressing her tightly against his chest.

Ni Sitian got furious and bit him hard on the chest.

Xu Tingchuan gasped in pain, frowned, opened his bloodshot eyes, pushed Ni Sitian out of his arms, sat up, and looked at her with displeasure: "What are you doing?"

“You know perfectly well!” Ni Sitian got up, kicked his shin, and ran to the study.

Xu Tingchuan felt confused, but his head was throbbing so badly that he didn't think much of it. He rubbed his temples, lay back down on the sofa, and soon fell into a deep sleep.

After storming into the study, Ni Sitian turned on her computer, searched for a divorce agreement template, and quickly typed out a divorce agreement based on that template.

Regarding the division of assets, she wrote in bold capital letters: The house is hers! The car is hers! The savings are hers! And he's out!

He scoffed inwardly, "Why should he get off easy?"

After printing out two copies of the agreement, Ni Sitian signed her name in a flamboyant manner and left the study.

Just as she was about to call Xu Tingchuan to get up and sign, her phone rang. It was a teacher from her department asking her to come back to school for something.

Ni Sitian hung up the phone, glanced at Xu Tingchuan who was drunk and slumped on the sofa, then placed the divorce agreement on the coffee table, weighed it down with an ashtray, and covered it with a note that read: "Sign the document after you get up. See you at the Civil Affairs Bureau at 2 PM tomorrow."

After doing all that, Ni Sitian changed her clothes, picked up her backpack, and left home.

After boarding the bus, Ni Sitian's previously suffocating anger subsided, and she slumped her head.

Looking back on her hasty and abruptly ended marriage, it was nothing short of a joke, providing amusement for the mother and daughter.

Even she herself finds the marriage utterly absurd when she thinks about it.

To be honest, Xu Tingchuan had never even met her family, and she had only met his mother once.

Xu Tingchuan's family members are just as busy as he is, often away on business trips.

That meeting was also an accident. Xu Tingchuan's mother was a well-known scholar who once gave a lecture at her school.

That day, Xu Tingchuan happened to be taking her to school, and they met briefly. He introduced her to his mother.

Then her mother casually remarked: "There is room for improvement."

After that, she never saw his mother again, and he never mentioned the possibility of the two families meeting.

Did he have planned to divorce from the beginning and therefore didn't want to get too entangled?

Ni Sitian frowned as she thought of this.

At this moment, the bus stopped, and she suddenly came to her senses. Seeing that she had arrived at the stop, she hurriedly got off the bus.

After receiving a form from the department head, Ni Sitian walked slowly along the tree-lined path on campus, lost in thought.

This time, the department has two spots for postgraduate admission without examination, and the department head plans to recommend her for a school in a neighboring county.

She was very surprised when she heard the news and asked the department head if there was a mistake. Her grades in all subjects were not particularly outstanding, and she was just an ordinary student among the masses.

But the department head repeatedly said there was no mistake, so she could only attribute it to her disappointment in marriage and her academic success, which she thought was God's compensation for her.

However, she doesn't like her current major and has no plans to pursue further studies.

Although it is possible to pursue a master's degree in a different field, studying at the last minute will make it difficult to keep up with the pace.

Ni Sitian thought about it all the way back to her dormitory. She lay on her bed, took out the form again, and started to stare blankly, wondering whether to fill it out or not.
