Under Xu Tingchuan's care, Ni Sitian's ankle recovered rapidly, and she was able to jump around again on Saturday.
Based on her previous experience buying a phone, she figured Xu Tingchuan probably didn't like aimless shopping, so she had already decided what she wanted to buy beforehand so she could head straight for her target when she arrived at the mall.
However, plans usually differ from reality.
After they drove to the mall, she always found something she liked better as she browsed around. Even among similar items, there were still various differences in color, pattern, shape, and so on.
Her indecisiveness immediately kicked in.
"Do you think this round blanket should be light green or off-white?" she asked Xu Tingchuan, tilting her head back with a troubled expression.
"If you like both colors, buy them both. Lay green today, white tomorrow." Xu Tingchuan didn't understand why there was such a good choice.
Ni Sitian pointed out righteously, "Don't encourage me to buy everything every time I can't make a decision. If we buy things like that, our house will never have enough room."
"Then let's buy the one next door too, then we'll have a place to put our things," Xu Tingchuan casually proposed a solution.
Ni Sitian was stunned for a moment before she realized that the "next door" he was referring to was the house next door.
She couldn't communicate with him anymore, rolled her eyes at him, and said irritably, "Please don't talk about buying a house in this 'buying cabbage' tone."
“But you like both of them, don’t you?” Xu Tingchuan frowned and said seriously, “If I choose one of the colors, won’t you regret not getting the other color? Over time, you might even think the other color is better.”
"No way, I will take responsibility for the one I'm chosen for, and I will absolutely not fall for someone else." Ni Sitian continued to compare the two colors.
Xu Tingchuan looked down at her, his eyes flickering slightly, as if his words had another layer of meaning.
"Which color is it exactly?" Ni Sitian murmured, tilting her head.
"Then let's go with off-white." He looked at it carefully for a moment and helped her choose.
Ni Sitian nodded, but said to the sales assistant, "I want the fruit green one."
Then she winked playfully at Xu Tingchuan and commanded with an air of self-righteousness, "Go pay the bill."
Xu Tingchuan chuckled silently. It seemed she had made rapid progress; she could even go against him and direct him to pay the bill.
Ni Sitian watched Xu Tingchuan walk to the cashier and noticed that several sales assistants were staring at him. She felt a little awkward, as if someone was eyeing her things.
She walked over quickly, hooked her arm around Xu Tingchuan's, rested her head on his arm, and said in a deliberately soft voice, "Honey, let's go look at some bedding later."
This was the first time Xu Ting had heard her call him "husband," and he was momentarily stunned.
Looking at the sales assistants around him, he suddenly understood that the little guy was acting out of possessiveness and asserting his dominance.
"Okay, you can shop however you want." He reached out and ruffled her hair, his tone filled with a indulgent and doting affection that he himself didn't even realize.
Ni Sitian smiled as she watched him swipe his card, sign the receipt, and fill in the mailing address.
After leaving the store, the two headed towards the bedding and furnishings section.
He had only taken a few steps when he was met by a beautiful woman with long, wavy hair who greeted him with delight, "President Xu."
Ni Sitian frowned, stopped, and watched the beauty walk towards them with a smile. She squinted and estimated that, judging from the swaying of the beauty's bust as she walked, it was at least a D cup.
