Chapter 64 Are You Willing?

Although she didn't know what kind of song it was, she liked the melody very much.

Listen attentively to the performance, immersing yourself in the wonderful atmosphere.

"This piece of music is really beautiful." She looked up at Xu Tingchuan and said with a smile, only to find that he was looking at her.

Under the warm orange light, his gaze looked particularly gentle.

After a few seconds of silent eye contact, she blushed and looked away.

A subtle atmosphere seemed to linger in the air.

The waiter brought over the plate, gave a slight bow, and respectfully said to Xu Tingchuan, "Mr. Xu, the red wine you ordered has been decanted."

Xu Tingchuan nodded slightly, indicating that they should pour red wine into his glass.

Ni Sitian sat opposite him and smelled the aroma of the wine. She pursed her lips and said, "This wine smells so good."

Seeing her curious and hungry expression, he smiled and asked, "You drink alcohol too?"

“Of course, I can hold my liquor really well.” Ni Sitian pouted. “Don’t always treat me like a child.”

Xu Tingchuan smiled, gestured to the waiter to pour her a glass as well, and gently raised his glass: "Cheers!"

“Cheers!” Ni Sitian raised her eyebrows, clinked her glass with his, and downed the red wine in one gulp.

Xu Tingchuan wanted to stop it but it was too late, so he just chuckled helplessly.

Ni Sitian found the wine very easy to drink. After finishing it, the aroma seemed to linger in her mouth, leaving her wanting more.

She reached out to take the glass, wanting to pour herself another one, but Xu Tingchuan took the glass first.

“Children can only drink one cup, and the way you’re drinking makes you drunk easily,” Xu Tingchuan shook his head disapprovingly.

"I told you not to treat me like a child. I'm only ten years younger than you," Ni Sitian huffed in dissatisfaction.

"Do you know what ten years old means? When I'm an adult, you'll still be an eight-year-old kid."

“…” Ni Sitian couldn’t refute it. Looking at it this way, the difference really seemed to be quite big.

Xu Tingchuan was pleased that she had listened to him. He took a sip of red wine, put it down, and then picked up his knife and fork to elegantly cut the steak.

Ni Sitian wasn't actually very good at Western food, but seeing how standard and elegant his movements were, she started to learn from him.

But the steak on the plate seemed to be working against her, constantly slipping and sliding around.

Xu Tingchuan glanced at Ni Sitian, took her plate, cut it up, and pushed it back to her.

Ni Sitian gave him a sweet smile and began to eat without any hesitation.

French cuisine always involves many steps, and even after finishing each course, her eyes would still involuntarily drift to the bottle of red wine.

Finally, Xu Tingchuan allowed her to have one more drink.

"Xu Tingchuan, I'm so happy today, thank you." She raised her glass to him with a big smile.

He chuckled, clinked glasses with her, watched her finish another glass, and said in a deep, pleasant voice, "Why don't you consider that I might have ulterior motives?"

Ni Sitian was taken aback, and unconsciously licked her lips: "Can't you just achieve whatever you want directly?"

Xu Tingchuan smiled but said nothing, took out a royal blue velvet box, and gently pushed it in front of Ni Sitian.

Ni Sitian stared straight at the box in front of her. After a long while, she suddenly looked up at Xu Tingchuan.

“We’ve already registered our marriage, so a proposal might be unnecessary, but I thought it would be more formal to give you this ring.” Xu Tingchuan said solemnly, reaching out to open the box, taking out the ring, and looking deeply into Ni Sitian’s eyes. “Mrs. Xu, would you like me to put it on for you?”

Ni Sitian never imagined that Xu Tingchuan could be so romantic in giving her a belated wedding ring.

She nodded fiercely, very fiercely!
