After receiving a response from Xiang Zhilan, Ni Sitian packed her bag and went out.
When she arrived at the mall entrance, she saw Xiang Zhilan get out of a Mercedes SUV. She walked over quickly, but before she got there, she saw Xiang Zhilan covering her mouth, bending over and dry heaving.
She quickly went over and gently patted Xiang Zhilan's back.
Ah Chao got out of the car and presented a plate of plums to Xiang Zhilan, saying, "Young Madam."
Xiang Zhilan took a pill and popped it into her mouth. She then took the thermos from A-Chao and drank some hot water, which relieved her discomfort.
Ni Sitian was stunned. Even if she had never seen a pig run, she had eaten pork, so the reason was obvious.
After Xiang Zhilan calmed down, she looked up at Ni Sitian, who was stunned. She no longer intended to hide it from her, and now felt that the time was about right to tell her.
"As you can see, I'm pregnant." She smiled calmly.
Although Ni Sitian had her own guesses, hearing it with her own ears was a completely different story. She was stunned for a while before exclaiming in surprise, "When did this happen?!"
Xiang Zhilan took her arm and said with a smile, "Let's talk as we walk."
Ni Sitian was no longer in the mood for shopping and stared at Xiang Zhilan in astonishment the whole time.
Xiang Zhilan naturally wouldn't tell Ni Sitian about what happened on the yacht that night. She covered up that part and focused on the pregnancy, smiling as she said, "And I just had an ultrasound this afternoon. The doctor said I'm having twins, but it's still early and not very clear yet. It should be confirmed around three months."
This was Xiang Zhilan's happiest day since the end of March. She was already married to Shen Muzhi and had decided to have a baby; twins were naturally more exciting than a single pregnancy. She had heard that the Shen family had a gene for twins and had hoped she would have twins herself; now her dream had come true.
"That's wonderful, congratulations!" Ni Sitian was still a little dazed. She hugged Xiang Zhilan, happy for her too. But it all happened so fast, she hadn't quite processed it yet. Xiang Zhilan suddenly decided to marry Shen Muzhi, and now she was suddenly pregnant. It was like a rocket going off at lightning speed.
"I find it incredible myself." Xiang Zhilan couldn't help but place her hand on her stomach, feeling very novel. It was truly amazing to be pregnant with two lives at once.
"I must be the godmother!" Ni Sitian put her hand on Xiang Zhilan's belly and said with a smile, "Baby, your godmother is here."
Xiang Zhilan smiled and said, "They are still just embryos, they can't hear you even if you talk to them."
"Anyway, I don't care. I've already telepathically connected with them, and they've agreed to let me be their godmother!" Ni Sitian said with a smirk.
"Let's see how sincere you are with the red envelope then." Xiang Zhilan raised an eyebrow.
The two chatted and laughed as they strolled through the mall. Ni Sitian, worried that Xiang Zhilan might get tired, didn't shop for long, instead picking out a set of crystal glasses as a gift for Jin Rulan. She remembered that Jin Rulan seemed to really like drinking floral tea, and it would look quite beautiful steeped in these crystal glasses.
Xiang Zhilan also picked out gifts for everyone in the Shen family. In a couple of days, Shen Muzhi will take her to visit the Shen family mansion.
Around six o'clock, after the two finished shopping, Ni Sitian helped Xiang Zhilan carry her things out of the mall, put the things in her car, watched her get in the car, and saw her off.
Once the car had driven away, Ni Sitian looked away, lowered her head, and unconsciously touched her stomach.
