Xiang Zhilan glanced back at the surging seawater crashing against the rocks; she had nowhere left to retreat.
“Take another step back,” Li Rui took another step closer to her. Under the moonlight, the smile on his face looked somewhat sinister. “As far as I know, Mrs. Shen is three months pregnant. If she falls in, what will happen to the baby? There are a lot of hidden reefs in this area. What if she hits her belly… tsk tsk, just thinking about it makes me feel bad.”
"What exactly do you want to do!" Xiang Zhilan gripped her trouser leg tightly, her whole body tensing up.
“I have no grudge against you and of course I don’t want to make things difficult for you. As far as I know, you were forced by Shen Muzhi. We should be on the same side. Do you want to see his miserable state?” Li Rui had already received the news that Shen Muzhi and his group had found their way here, which was something he had expected.

Xiang Zhilan's eyes darkened slightly. Li Rui meant to use her to threaten Shen Muzhi. Her heart sank, and she glanced at the sea behind her, clenched her fist, and took a half step back.

"You also captured Sitian?!" Xiang Zhilan stared wide-eyed in astonishment, pulling her heel back.
"Please go ahead, otherwise I can't guarantee I won't do anything to Ni Sitian." Li Rui glanced at the warehouse.
Xiang Zhilan gritted her teeth and walked back along the distant road, returning to that dark warehouse.
Li Rui's subordinates behind her turned on a light and shone it on her, causing her to squint slightly.
Suddenly, someone grabbed her hands, pulled her up abruptly, and she was thrown into the air!
Li Rui sat comfortably in the chair, his hands on his cane, and looked up at Xiang Zhilan. He smiled and said, "I wonder when Shen Muzhi will arrive. If you don't make it to his place and the baby is lost, then remember to blame him for not caring about you as much."
"Li Rui, do you think you'll succeed? Using me to threaten Shen Muzhi? You overestimate me. You'd be better off going after Su Yan." Xiang Zhilan had no idea that Su Yan and Li Rui were in cahoots.
“Then we’ll just have to wait and see. I’m also curious to see if he’ll come to his death for you.” Li Rui raised an eyebrow, glanced at the time, and said, “I heard that if you hang like that for two hours, the baby might not survive. You should pray that he comes soon.”
"Bastard!" Xiang Zhilan was stuck there helplessly, and angrily kicked her slipper at Li Rui's face.
Li Rui easily grabbed the slipper, tossed it onto Xiang Zhilan's stomach, and exclaimed softly, his brows furrowing.
"Go ahead and cause trouble. I'll get my revenge on Shen Muzhi for all of this." Li Rui drew a military knife, its cold, sharp blade gleaming with a chilling light.
Xiang Zhilan frowned, and her arms and stomach began to ache. The feeling of being suspended in mid-air was really unpleasant.
She was terrified, feeling blood gushing and churning below, and she was completely powerless to stop it.
