Chapter 833 Farewell to Sitian

Throughout the end of June, Xu Tingchuan was extremely busy, and he even had some time to spare for Xu Jiayue.

He called Pei Yang every day and heard from Pei Yang that Xu Jiayue hadn't left her room since that day, and had even taken a long leave from the research institute. She had been staying at home and becoming increasingly silent. He had been trying to find an opportunity to see her again.

Before she knew it, Ni Sitian was about to go on a business trip with her crew.

Early that morning, Xu Tingchuan drove her to the airport, and halfway there, he picked up another girl.

Ni Sitian was a little surprised when she saw this girl. She didn't seem to be much older than her, and she didn't have the aura of a female fighter that she had imagined. Instead, she looked very ordinary and could easily be lost in a crowd.

Xu Tingchuan had already introduced her to him before. This girl is named An Xin. She is now under Shen Muzhi's command. She has a high level of combat skills and used to be in the special forces, but was discharged due to injury.

Ni Sitian smiled and nodded at her, and Anxin returned the smile.

Upon arriving at the airport, Xu Tingchuan held her hand and walked all the way to the customs area, stopping only when they could no longer go in.

Ni Sitian had seen him off at the airport before, but this was the first time he had seen her off like this.

"Call me as soon as you get there." Xu Tingchuan reached out and stroked Ni Sitian's hair, looking at her tenderly.

"Mmm." Ni Sitian lowered her head, somewhat reluctant to leave him for so long.

They hadn't been separated like this for a long time, and she suddenly felt a little regretful. Maybe she shouldn't have written screenplays. If she had just stayed focused on writing novels, she wouldn't have had to go on business trips for so long.

However, if she continues to be content with such an ordinary life and doesn't strive to be the best version of herself, it seems she wouldn't be worthy of such a wonderful person as Xu Tingchuan.

"Don't be so busy that you forget to eat again. I'll call you every day to keep an eye on you." Ni Sitian gripped the sides of Xu Tingchuan's suit jacket with both hands, not daring to look up at him, afraid that if she did, she wouldn't want to leave.

"Yes, I know." Xu Tingchuan looked at the top of her head and said in a low voice, "You also need to be careful because the temperature difference between day and night is large there. Make sure you wear warm clothes and don't get cold."

Ni Sitian's eyes were slightly red. She nodded and said in a low, hoarse voice, "Call me if you have any worries. Smoke less and don't keep it all bottled up inside."

She was actually quite worried about Jia Yue's situation.

"Hmm." Xu Tingchuan lowered his head and kissed the top of her head, then said, "If the crew goes to a dangerous place, don't go with them. I've already talked to your producer, you can stay in the hotel in town and write."

Ni Sitian couldn't help but smile. She could imagine Xu Tingchuan making this request to the producer as if he were entrusting his daughter to him.

A moment later, her eyes reddened even more. She opened her arms and hugged Xu Tingchuan, resting her head on his chest, and said in a hoarse voice, "You're so annoying. It seems like I can't live without you."

Xu Tingchuan raised his hand and gently stroked her hair; what she said was also what he felt in his heart.

The last time their relationship was still innocent, she saw him off as he went to New York, and he even wanted to put her in his pocket and take her with him.

This time they were truly husband and wife; she was a part of him. Not seeing her for so long felt like a piece of his heart had been ripped out.

An announcement came over the loudspeaker at the airport: it was time to go into the cabin.

Anxin had already checked in her luggage and stood quietly to the side, waiting for the young couple to say goodbye.

"I'm leaving." Ni Sitian let go of him, keeping her head down and not daring to look at him, and turned away directly.

Xu Tingchuan pulled her back, turned her around, cupped her face, and lowered his head to fiercely kiss her lips.
