The next day, Ni Sitian woke up to the sound of her alarm clock.
I opened my eyes, sat on the edge of the bed in a daze for a while, and then I remembered that today was my first day at work!
She quickly got out of bed, went to the bathroom to wash up, and changed her clothes.
Looking at the time, it was almost 8:30, so I rushed out without even having breakfast.
This was rush hour, and she tried to squeeze onto two buses but couldn't get on, so she decided to take a taxi.
As a result, she reached out and waved, and a Mercedes-Benz stopped in front of her.
Qin Mubei got out of the car and said to Ni Sitian, "Where are you going? I'll give you a ride."
Ni Sitian frowned, ignoring him, and took a few steps forward to continue hailing a taxi.
Qin Mubei followed her, grabbed her wrist, and said, "I just wanted to give you a ride."
"Qin Mubei, we don't need to have anything to do with each other anymore." Ni Sitian pulled her wrist away, somewhat annoyed by his persistent pestering.
"You had the final say in the beginning, but you won't have the final say in the end." Qin Mubei's lips curled up slightly. Seeing her strong reaction to him, she must still have feelings for him.
Ni Sitian thought he was crazy and turned to leave.
Qin Mubei grabbed her hand again, this time pulling her directly into the car, neatly shoving her inside, then sitting back in the car and starting the engine.
"This is kidnapping!" Ni Sitian exclaimed, her face turning red with anger as she realized she couldn't open the car door.
"Where are you going?" Qin Mubei acted as if he hadn't heard her accusation.
"Let me out of the car, or I'll call the police." Ni Sitian took out her phone.
"Where to?" Qin Mubei grabbed her phone and threw it onto the back seat.
Ni Sitian bit her lip. She was already running late for work, and she didn't want to be fired on her first day.
Taking a deep breath, she calmed herself down and said coldly, "Jiefang Road."
"Are you going for an internship now?" Qin Mubei thought for a moment and remembered that she should be twenty-one now, a senior in college.
Ni Sitian didn't answer him, and turned to look out the window.
Qin Mubei was not discouraged and continued to ask, "Why are you waiting for a bus on this road? Don't you live in the west of the city?"
Ni Sitian continued to pretend she hadn't heard a thing.
"That day," Qin Mubei paused, looking at Ni Sitian in the car mirror, and asked hesitantly, "who was that man?"
When Ni Sitian heard him mention Xu Tingchuan, her brow twitched slightly, and she turned to him earnestly, saying, "He's my husband."
Qin Mubei's expression stiffened for a moment, then he forced a smile and said, "You're really joking."
"Who's joking with you?" Ni Sitian snorted coldly and turned her head back to look out the car window.
Qin Mubei didn't take it seriously, assuming she was just trying to annoy him. However, he could indeed tell that the man and Ni Sitian had a close relationship, and that he might be her boyfriend.
The more important thing now is to clarify that matter. Qin Mubei coughed lightly and cleared his throat: "Sisi, what happened three years ago was about your sister and your mother..."
“Stop, Ni Ziqi isn’t my sister, and He Cuiyun isn’t my mother.” Ni Sitian frowned.
"Okay, in short, that incident was caused by the mother and daughter working together to harm me." Qin Mubei took a breath, paused, and then said, "Later, things got out of hand, and my father sent me abroad. You won't answer your phone anymore."
"Are you done talking?" Ni Sitian looked at Qin Mubei seriously, and suddenly felt that she might have been young and ignorant in those years, and that she was blind to like such a person.
Regardless of how he and Ni Ziqi ended up in bed, the end result is that they did, and it happened on her bed.
However, she really doesn't care now; who hasn't misjudged someone at fifteen or sixteen?
Fortunately, she did a good job of correcting the wrongs.
Seeing her resolute attitude, Qin Mubei wanted to say something more, but then he noticed that they had arrived at Jiefang Road.
"I'm here, stop the car." Ni Sitian waited for him to stop the car, picked up her bag and got out. She didn't want to stay with him for a second longer and hurriedly walked towards the office building.
When Qin Mubei saw the building she entered, a smile appeared on his lips. He hadn't expected things to be so coincidental.
He parked his car in the garage, and as soon as he got out, he heard a cell phone ringing in the back seat. He opened the car door, picked up the phone that Ni Sitian had left behind, and saw that the screen showed Xu Tingchuan's name.
