Chapter 87 Caring Too Much

Ni Sitian didn't answer Lin Yi'an's question and hung up the phone directly.

Lin Yi'an smiled slightly, deleted Ni Sitian's call logs and incoming call records, then turned off the phone and put it back in its original place, unplugged the power bank and put it in her bag.

At this moment, Xu Tingchuan came in from outside the private room, opened the door, looked at Lin Yi'an, and asked in a cold tone, "Didn't you find it?"

Lin Yi'an picked up her phone and smiled at Xu Tingchuan: "Found it."

Xu Tingchuan took the phone, pressed the function button, but the screen didn't light up; it must be out of power.

After lunch with Mr. Fang, I left my phone in the restaurant's private room. I was busy with work all afternoon and didn't remember to look for it until it was time to go back to the hotel to rest.

I wonder if Ni Sitian called him.

With that thought in mind, Xu Tingchuan turned around and quickly left the private room, with Lin Yi'an following behind.

The two returned to the hotel by car. Xu Tingchuan went into the room, charged his phone, and turned it on. He checked the call history but found no caller ID from Ni Sitian.

His face darkened slightly. Was it because the phone was still in Qin Mubei's hands, or because she had no intention of calling him at all?

He opened his contacts, scrolled down to find Ni Sitian's name, clicked on it, and his finger paused on the dial button.

Thinking back on her past business trips, Ni Sitian seemed to have never called him.

He moved his finger away, exited the dialing interface, put the phone back on the bedside table, and got up to walk towards the bathroom.

After washing up, I couldn't help but pick up my phone again to check, but she still hadn't called.

It's already 11 o'clock, she should be asleep by now.

Xu Tingchuan put down his phone, closed his eyes, rubbed his temples, and wondered to himself if he was being a little too concerned about Ni Sitian.

His original intention in getting married was to stop his family from having any more excuses to bother him, and he also felt that he had indeed reached a certain age and should have a wife. It was originally intended to make his life simpler and more stable, but now it seems that things are not going in the direction he envisioned.

He became increasingly concerned about Ni Sitian, to the point that it affected his work.

If he hadn't been thinking about Qin Mubei's matter that morning, he wouldn't have carelessly left his phone in the private room.

Is it really a good thing to let her have such a big influence on me?

Perhaps he should cool down and think clearly about how he wants to define his marriage with Ni Sitian.

Thinking of this, Xu Tingchuan let out a long sigh, relaxed his brow, and lay down to sleep.

The next day, Ni Sitian woke up very early, rubbed her sore eyes, and yawned widely.

She didn't sleep well last night, her mind was filled with thoughts of him and that secretary. She tried to convince herself not to think about it, but she just couldn't control her thoughts.

Moreover, the more novels she writes, the richer her imagination becomes, and the scenes she conjures up are incredibly realistic and vivid.

I don't know what time it was before I finally drifted off to sleep.

Ni Sitian yawned again, picked up her phone and looked at it. It wasn't even eight o'clock yet, and there was no caller ID from Xu Tingchuan.

I thought he had been drinking last night, so he might be late getting up today.

If he sees that she called, he should call her back.

She put down her phone and went to the bathroom to wash up.

There was enough time today, so she ate breakfast at home first, and then took the bus.

When she entered the company, it was not yet nine o'clock, and there were not many people there, so she turned on her computer and started organizing documents.

Colleagues came in one after another, and Sister Chen suddenly called out, "Ni Sitian, come here for a second."

She got up and walked over, only to hear Sister Chen frown and ask, "Where are the documents I asked you to print yesterday?"

"I put it on your desk." Ni Sitian looked at Sister Chen's desk and was a little surprised not to see her folder.

"Do you think I scolded you yesterday and you're resentful, so you're deliberately going against me? Do you know we'll need this information this morning?" Sister Chen flipped the table but didn't find it, and her expression turned somewhat unfriendly.

"I...I'll reprint it right away." Ni Sitian didn't understand how the folder could have disappeared, but explaining was secondary now; the most urgent thing was to reprint it.

"It's too late." Sister Chen said with a dark face, getting up and walking towards the conference room.

Ni Sitian bit her lip in frustration. Yesterday, she thought it was Xu Tingchuan calling and rushed to answer it, so she carelessly left it on the table. If she had put it in the drawer and locked it first, this problem wouldn't have happened.
