Chapter 884 A Mute

As he walked, Xu Tingchuan pulled up Su Yan's contact information and dialed her number directly.

Su Yan finally received a call from the person she had been longing for, and she was so excited that she almost jumped out of her chair.

Xu Tingchuan was too lazy to waste words with her and got straight to the point: "I want to see you. Come to Lan Club."

He specifically chose this relatively secluded spot so that it would be convenient to discuss matters.

"Okay, okay, I'll be right there." Su Yan's joy was palpable. After agreeing repeatedly, she heard the other end hang up and then started dancing and humming a song in the room.

After a while, she came to her senses, exclaimed "Oh!", and hurriedly ran to the wardrobe, opened it to pick out clothes, but after trying on one by one, she still couldn't find anything she liked.

"Dumb, dumb!" Su Yan shouted.

An ugly maid quickly entered the room, waiting for Su Yan's instructions.

"Where's my light blue dress, the one with the V-neck?" Su Yan asked anxiously.

The mute maid, unable to speak, went directly to the wardrobe to help Su Yan find the dress and quickly retrieved it.

"Go downstairs." Su Yan waved her hand, eager to change into her dress.

After the mute man left Su Yan's bedroom, he encountered Su Yan's mother, Madam Su. She bowed slightly and walked downstairs with her head down.

Madam Su frowned as she watched the mute man's retreating figure, then looked away and opened Su Yan's door.

"Mom," Su Yan called out crisply, in a very good mood.

Mrs. Su looked at Su Yan with a complicated expression. She still wasn't used to her daughter having Su Yan's face.

"Why are you so happy?" Madam Su felt a chill at Su Yan's coldness. Even though Su Chengwen's favorite daughter was Su Yan, he had never mistreated her. However, after Su Chengwen suffered a stroke, she didn't seem to show the slightest sadness.

"I'm going on a date later." Su Yan's mood was practically soaring. This was the first time Xu Tingchuan had taken the initiative to contact her. She thought maybe he had come to his senses and wanted the investment plan from yesterday.

"Who is she dating?" Mrs. Su felt that her daughter was a stranger; she didn't know her at all.

"It's a secret." Su Yan had already finished her makeup at the vanity, grabbed her bag, and got up to leave.

"Yan Yan." Madam Su couldn't help but call out to Su Yan.

"We'll talk about it when I get back." Su Yan was afraid that she would bring up the matter of going to the hospital to see Su Chengwen, so she didn't want to go and quickly ran downstairs.

Mrs. Su sighed softly and slowly walked downstairs. Seeing the mute maid wiping the stair railing, she said, "Go and weed the garden."

The mute man nodded and walked out.

Madam Su was a Buddhist and usually very kind, but seeing this mute man always made her feel uneasy.

The mute was brought back by Su Yan. Su Yan was willing to let the mute serve her, so she had no choice. She just wanted to talk to her about this, but Su Yan is no longer the quiet and obedient little girl who would hide in her arms. She probably can't listen to her anymore.

After Su Chengwen fell ill, Su Yan dismissed the old servants of the Su family for various reasons. Now, the huge Su family only has three maids and one driver. Apart from the driver, the three maids are all new, and their appearance is rather unpleasant. One of them is also mute.

Madam Su truly couldn't understand what Su Yan was trying to do. She had even contacted her nephew, Xiao Yi.

According to Xiao Yi, Su Yan is now so paranoid that her personality is distorted, but if she herself is unwilling to receive treatment, there is nothing anyone can do.

As her mother, she had tried to persuade her, but Su Yan simply wouldn't listen.
