Xu Tingchuan instinctively reached out to take her hand, but she stepped back to avoid it.
His hand froze awkwardly. She looked at him, feeling a little embarrassed, and said softly, "I'm sorry, I'm not used to it yet."
Xu Tingchuan clenched his fist, lowered his hand, and said calmly, "Let's go."
He took the first step, and Ni Sitian followed obediently behind.
I got into the elevator, arrived at my floor, and walked to my front door.
"Does this place feel familiar?" Xu Tingchuan couldn't help but ask, hoping she would remember it soon.
However, Ni Sitian shook her head blankly, shattering his expectations.
His eyes darkened for a moment, then he took out his keys and opened the door.
The two went in one after the other and changed into slippers in the entryway.
Ni Sitian looked around the spacious and cozy house with curiosity, feeling that it would be quite comfortable to live in.
But can she really live in such a nice house?
"Are you hungry? Rest for a while, I'll cook for you." After putting Ni Sitian's luggage bag into the bedroom, Xu Tingchuan came out and saw her staring at the hanging chair on the balcony. He smiled and said, "You bought that, do you remember?"
"I bought it?" Ni Sitian just thought that it would be quite pleasant and comfortable to stay in there, reading and drinking tea.
“Yes, you arranged most of the little things in this house, such as curtains, potted plants, small round rugs, and ornaments…” Xu Tingchuan listed them one by one.
Ni Sitian couldn't help but smile; these things were indeed the type she liked.
"Take your time looking at it. I'm going to cook." Xu Tingchuan looked at her smile and wanted to pull her into his arms, but he couldn't right now, so he had no choice but to stop looking at her smile.
Ni Sitian nodded, then walked over to the hanging chair, sat down, and gently swayed.
Her smile deepened as she closed her eyes, welcoming the sunlight and gentle breeze.
After taking a deep, comfortable breath, she opened her eyes and looked around the balcony.
There are many potted plants on the balcony, and the flowers are in full bloom, making people feel happy.
She stood up, stretched, and noticed a book on the second shelf of the small table next to her, so she reached out and took it.
When she saw the author's name, she was taken aback. Wasn't that her pen name?
Did she not know that she had published a book during those five years?
Ni Sitian sat back down in the swing chair and started flipping through the book. It was a story about an arranged marriage that blossomed into a love affair.
The male lead is nicknamed the Great Demon King, and the female lead is a bit coquettish and cute. She finds it hard to believe that she wrote this, since she usually writes those kinds of youthful angst stories, but this one is so sweet it's sickening.
It looks interesting, as relaxing and comfortable as eating a small cookie.
Perhaps it was the sunshine and the stories that made her feel comfortable, so the unease she felt when she first entered the room gradually dissipated, and she gently swayed in the hanging chair, immersing herself in the book.
"Sitian".
A deep, magnetic voice called her name, bringing her back to reality.
She looked up and saw the man wearing an apron, setting the table, looking as if she had seen him in a dream.
"Come and eat." Xu Tingchuan greeted her with a faint smile when he saw her standing there in a daze.
Ni Sitian snapped out of her daze, put down her book, walked over to him, and sat down opposite him somewhat shyly.
Xu Tingchuan served her some rice, which she took and whispered a thank you.
The two ate a harmonious meal, and she discovered that all the dishes were ones she liked.
