Xu Tingchuan paused as he wiped the table, masking the sadness in his voice, and said softly, "Go and rest."
As Ni Sitian watched him turn and walk towards the kitchen, she felt a pang of pity for his retreating figure. Her heart suddenly ached, and she blurted out, "I will try my best to adapt to being your wife."
Xu Tingchuan stopped in his tracks, turned around abruptly, and his gaze was brighter than the sunlight outside.
Ni Sitian became even more nervous under his gaze. She didn't know why she had blurted out those words, but since she had already said them, she couldn't take them back.
“Um,” Ni Sitian pursed her lips, mustered her courage, looked up at him, and said, “I will try my best, but you have to give me some time.”
Xu Tingchuan was all too familiar with these words; they were the same ones Ni Sitian had said when he wanted to consummate their marriage.
Although her mind is smaller than before, she is still exactly the same in this respect, which makes him see the possibility that she will regain her memories.
"How long?" Xu Tingchuan approached and asked in the same way he used to, trying to make her feel a little familiar.
"Huh?" Ni Sitian hadn't expected him to set a time limit. What was she supposed to say? Two years? Would he kill her?
"No matter how long it takes, I will wait for you. I hope you won't make me wait too long." Xu Tingchuan reached out and touched her head, smiling gently.
Ni Sitian stared blankly at his smiling face. This man's smile was so beautiful, even more beautiful than Qin Mubei's. She couldn't help but nod.
Xu Tingchuan was quite satisfied and really wanted to kiss her, but he was afraid of being too hasty, so he withdrew his hand and walked towards the kitchen.
Ni Sitian came to her senses and remembered what she had just said and agreed to. She began to despise herself for being so easily swayed by lust.

The next few books were all cookbooks, not very interesting, so she didn't open them.
She closed the first drawer and then reached in to open the second one.
The second drawer was filled with colorful candies. She smiled slightly, it seemed her love for sweets hadn't changed.
She reached into the drawer and grabbed a handful, feeling that the candies seemed a bit strange in both packaging and texture.
After placing the handful on the bed, she picked up one and looked down to examine it closely: "Orange flavor, size XL."
Ni Sitian frowned in confusion. What does this mean?
