When Pei Yang came down to get breakfast, Xu Tingchuan and the others were already sitting and eating.
When Ni Sitian saw him take the breakfast upstairs, she smiled knowingly.
Xu Tingchuan narrowed his eyes, his gaze towards Pei Yang becoming somewhat unfriendly. He felt that this brother-in-law and friend was being far too absurd, how could he have made Jia Yue so ill that she couldn't even get out of bed?
"Don't meddle. They're a loving couple." Ni Sitian guessed Xu Tingchuan's thoughts and stuffed a custard bun into his mouth.
Xu Tingchuan snorted. He also wanted to be this affectionate with her, but she always said she had to be restrained!
Then he saw his father also go downstairs alone, take breakfast upstairs, and he looked at Ni Sitian with a resentful expression.
Ni Sitian coughed lightly: "Don't get the wrong idea."
"I don't care, I want it three times tonight." Xu Tingchuan felt this was a matter of his dignity.
"Don't push your luck." Ni Sitian rubbed her aching back; she was almost too tired to get out of bed, but thankfully she stopped him in time last night.
"You don't love me anymore." Xu Tingchuan felt wronged.
"Hmm, I don't love you anymore." Ni Sitian replied casually, too lazy to pay attention to his unreasonable behavior. How come he's getting more and more coquettish at such a grown-up!
Xu Tingchuan felt a lump in his throat. He grabbed her hand, rubbed it against his chest, and said, "It's all shattered."
Ni Sitian couldn't help but laugh helplessly. This guy had actually learned to be shameless from Tuantuan, so she could only vaguely nod in agreement.
Xu Tingchuan immediately beamed and peeled an egg for her, saying, "Have some nourishing food."
Ni Sitian chuckled, thinking to herself that it was good that Tuantuan had been taken for a walk by the maid after finishing his meal. Even though he's a father now, he's still so clingy.
"Have another glass of milk," Xu Tingchuan said solicitously, refilling her glass.
"Are you planning to stuff me to death?" Ni Sitian laughed irritably.
"Eat more so you'll have energy tonight." Xu Tingchuan even put a spring roll on her plate.
The two were flirting when a naive, childlike voice rang out: "Why do we need energy at night?"
Ni Sitian turned around and saw Tuantuan. Her cheeks flushed with embarrassment, and she glared at Xu Tingchuan.
Xu Tingchuan, without blushing or skipping a beat, said, "Only with the strength can I give you a little sister."
Ni Sitian's face turned bright red. How could she say such a thing to a child!
She stepped on his foot, but he remained unfazed and continued to feed her.
Tuantuan seemed to understand, but not quite. She ran to the dining table, climbed over the chair, and got a bunny bag for Ni Sitian, saying, "Mommy, have a little bunny sister."
Ni Sitian accepted her son's kindness, but for many years to come, she and Xu Tingchuan still only had Tuantuan as their only son.
After the Mid-Autumn Festival, the National Day holiday is just around the corner.
The sweltering summer days are slowly passing, replaced by the brisk autumn winds.
When the leaves on the branches had all fallen and the branches were covered with snow, several major events occurred.
The first thing was that Xiao Kui's godfather, Luo Che, and Bai Yutong got married. Although we don't know how they got together, their smiles on the wedding day were genuine. Xiao Kui and Heng Heng even served as flower girls and boys.
The second and third events occurred at the end of January, when Li Yiqing and Ni Tianzhen gave birth one after the other.
Li Yiqing gave birth to a son whose eyebrows and eyes looked very much like Li Yinan's, while Ni Tianzhen gave birth to a daughter who looked somewhat like Ni Sitian. Ni Sitian loved her child very much, fulfilling her dream of having a daughter.
The fourth thing is that Xu Jiayue suddenly felt nauseous while eating New Year's Eve dinner and found out she was pregnant.
Because of a series of good things happening one after another, Ni Sitian feels very happy lately.
But before the first month of the lunar calendar was even over, a very sad message came.
