Chapter 55 A Love Letter

Seeing her blushing face, Xu Tingchuan couldn't help but chuckle silently. He then turned around and started the car.

During the drive, the car remained quiet as usual, and neither of them spoke.

But Ni Sitian felt that the atmosphere was slightly different from the dull atmosphere of the past.

Perhaps it was that kiss before driving that added a touch of subtle ambiguity to the small space.

The heat on her face seemed to linger, and she felt she had to say something to break the delicate atmosphere in the space.

"Did you post that message?" she asked cautiously.

After mentioning this possibility to Zhi Lan during dinner, she didn't know why, but she secretly hoped that Xu Tingchuan had done it.

"No," Xu Tingchuan replied calmly.

She was a little disappointed and was about to look away when she heard Xu Tingchuan say again, "I had the technician send it."

Ni Sitian's eyes, which had been dim, lit up again, and she asked excitedly, "So, you were the one who had the department head and Li Xin explain things clearly about the graduate school recommendation?"

"Okay." Xu Tingchuan focused on driving.

Ni Sitian looked at his profile as he drove, and her nose felt a little sore.

She had only mentioned it casually, but he took it to heart and handled it so well for her.

"Then why didn't you tell me? Doing good deeds anonymously?" she pouted.

Xu Tingchuan arrived at the hospital parking lot, parked the car, glanced at Ni Sitian, and said matter-of-factly, "Isn't this just what I should do? What's there to brag about?"

He opened the door and got out of the car, walked to the passenger seat, opened the door, half-squatted down, patted her back, and gestured for her to get in.

Ni Sitian stared blankly at his bent back for a moment, then leaned down and lay down on him.

He hooked her knees and steadily carried her on his back.

She realized that his shoulders were so broad, like a majestic mountain, capable of bearing all of her burdens.

She rested her head on his shoulder, feeling very secure, and whispered in his ear, "Thank you."

After the consultation, Xu Tingchuan carried her to the car and settled her down.

About ten minutes later, I drove back home.

"The doctor told you to try not to walk or stand for too long these next two days. Call me if you need anything," Xu Tingchuan said after putting Ni Sitian on the sofa. Seeing her obediently nod, he added, "I'm going to take a shower now. Tell me in advance if you need anything."

"Go wash up," Ni Sitian said, shaking her head.

Xu Tingchuan placed his hand on the top of her head and rubbed it. He could clearly feel that she was not as resistant to his action as before, and the corners of his mouth couldn't help but curve up. He turned around and walked towards the bedroom to get his clothes.

Ni Sitian sat alone in the living room, feeling a little bored. Suddenly, she remembered what Yu Mingliang had said before they parted ways.

So he stood up on one leg, hopped into the bedroom, took out the textbook from the day before yesterday, and shook it.

A light blue envelope drifted down and landed by the door.

She jumped up and was about to squat down to pick it up when she saw a pair of feet wearing slippers.

She was stunned for a moment, and quickly reached out to pick up the envelope, but Xu Tingchuan took it first.

"What is this?" Xu Tingchuan frowned.

"It's nothing." Ni Sitian quickly reached out to pull her hand away from his.

Xu Tingchuan dodged Ni Sitian's movement, stretched out his arm, held the envelope high, and raised an eyebrow at her: "Since there's nothing wrong, why are you in such a hurry?"

Ni Sitian, recalling the way Yu Mingliang spoke, guessed it was probably a love letter, so she absolutely couldn't let Xu Tingchuan see it.

She got a little anxious and jumped up on one foot to grab it.

As a result, he lost his balance on one foot and fell onto Xu Tingchuan.

Xu Tingchuan hugged her, turned around abruptly, staggered a few steps, and the two of them fell onto the bed in a tangled mess.
