As Ni Sitian was thinking this, she saw the man bow slightly to her: "Mrs. Xu, our master invites you upstairs for a chat."
If someone with such a good temperament isn't the homeowner, then what must the homeowner be like?
"I'll wait for my husband here." Ni Sitian was still a little wary. Too many things had happened around her lately, and she dared not trust others easily anymore.
"Mr. Xu has already been invited up by our people," the man said patiently to her.
Ni Sitian didn't believe it. She looked around the hall and confirmed that Xu Tingchuan was indeed no longer in the room.
“Mr. and Mrs. Xu are probably here for this property. The owner needs to see you two before considering whether it’s worth selling the house,” the man continued persuasively.
Ni Sitian lowered her eyes, pursed her lips, considered it carefully, and nodded.
"This way, please." The man respectfully led the way.
Ni Sitian slowly followed Xu Tingchuan up to the second floor and walked to the study that Xu Tingchuan had originally designed.
The man knocked on the door, and Ni Sitian heard a deep, magnetic voice say, "Come in."
The man then opened the door and invited Ni Sitian in.
Ni Sitian hesitated for a moment, then stepped inside after noticing what appeared to be a child.
As soon as she entered, she noticed the child sitting in a wheelchair, his face very pale, a weak, pale white.
Then she noticed that the leather chair behind the large table was facing away from her, with only a small part of the top of the man's head showing.
"Brother, sister is here," the boy in the wheelchair said to the man.
When Ni Sitian saw that Xu Tingchuan wasn't in the room, she frowned slightly. Had he tricked her into coming up here?
"Arno, you go out first," the man said to the child.
The child seemed used to being in a wheelchair, and he operated it very skillfully. Before Ni Sitian could even react, he had already gone out.
Now, only she and the man whose face she had never seen were left in the huge study.
She became secretly wary, gripping her skirt tightly: "Are you the owner of this house? What do you want with me coming up here?"
"Open the documents on the table and take a look." His voice was deep and pleasant, like the tapping of jade.
Ni Sitian listened to his words, glanced at the table, and saw a thick, yellow paper bag. She hesitated for a moment, walked over, picked up the bag, untied the string, and opened it.
She looked down and saw a pile of papers, which she took out.
Property title transfer agreement.
Ni Sitian looked at the bold black regular script text, read it aloud, frowned in confusion, and then continued reading.
Surprisingly, when I turned to the last page of the property transfer document for this house, I found that an English name had already been signed on it.
"Sign your name, and it's yours." The man's pleasant voice rang out again.
"Um." Ni Sitian lowered the transfer document, looked at the man's tuft of hair, and said, "There's no such thing as a free lunch. I wonder what you want from me, sir?"
Ni Sitian wasn't naive enough to think she could just take back a property worth hundreds of millions of yuan. In general, in such cases, she would have to pay an even higher price.
"Miss Ni is quite clever; this is what I want..."
Ni Sitian held her breath, waiting for the man to continue. She saw the black chair back slowly turn around, revealing the man's profile. His nose was as high and straight as a mountain, his eyebrows were sword-like and his eyes were sharp. He had a rather rugged appearance, exuding a domineering yet restrained aura.
