Chapter 374 is very awkward.

Ni Sitian stared intently at the woman in front of her.

After the woman understood what she was talking about, she smiled and said, "Miss, I didn't take your fish."

Ni Sitian didn't believe it; she clearly saw the red fish body peeking out from the plastic bag when she paid the bill.

"I really didn't take your fish." The woman emphasized again, took out the plastic bag containing the fish from her shopping bag, opened it to show Ni Sitian, and said, "This is a red ribbonfish."

Ni Sitian looked down and saw that it was indeed a red silk fish, not a red-spotted fish.

Her cheeks flushed, and she apologized for her rudeness and questioning: "I'm sorry, I'm sorry."

The woman laughed heartily and waved her hand: "It's nothing."

"I'm so sorry." Ni Sitian bowed again. She was so embarrassed that she had questioned someone without even asking what had happened.

The woman put the fish back into her bag, smiled generously, picked up the bag, and turned to leave.

Ni Sitian was a little annoyed that she might be overthinking things. Because that woman looked like Su Yan, she had a preconceived notion and was hostile towards her.

Perhaps it really is just a coincidence.

She shook her head, picked up the bag, and walked towards the residential area.

Before she even entered the building, she felt as if a pair of eyes were watching her. She turned around but saw nothing.

She felt inexplicably uneasy. Could it be that Li Rui had sent someone to spy on her?

As soon as Ni Sitian thought about it, her heart skipped a beat. She quickly walked into the building, took the elevator, and returned home.

After closing the door, she glanced through the peephole again to make sure no one was following her before letting out a long sigh of relief.

Perhaps because of Li Rui's bomb-like package, she's been a bit tense and suspicious lately.

After shaking off these messy thoughts, Ni Sitian began to seriously prepare dinner. Although there was no fish, she still cooked a table full of dishes.

As soon as Xu Tingchuan opened the door, he smelled the aroma of food from his home. He changed into slippers in the entryway and went inside.

"You're here so early today." Ni Sitian heard footsteps but didn't turn around, continuing to ladle out the soup.

Xu Tingchuan walked over, wrapped his arms around her waist, and kissed her on the cheek.

The two naturally lingered for a while before going out for dinner together.

"Since we couldn't find your favorite red grouper, just make do with this." Ni Sitian picked up a piece of fish tofu from the soup and gave it to him.

Xu Tingchuan smiled faintly and lowered his head to eat.

Ni Sitian started chatting with him about what homework Mr. Wu had assigned, and in the process, she mentioned the embarrassing thing that happened to her at the supermarket that day.

She bit her chopsticks, looked at Xu Tingchuan, and said tentatively, "How can two people look so alike? Could there be some connection?"

Xu Tingchuan wasn't very interested and casually replied, "It's probably just a coincidence."

Seeing that he wasn't interested in the topic, Ni Sitian didn't bring it up again, otherwise she would seem petty. Although Su Yan was his ex-girlfriend, ten years had passed, and he had clearly told her that he didn't have romantic feelings for Su Yan.

It might just be a coincidence, and she's overcomplicating things.

After dinner, the two went about their own business as usual. Ni Sitian was finishing up her novel and was writing with great concentration.

She worked until around 10 o'clock, put down the last piece of paper, stretched, and smiled broadly.

I checked the document one last time, saved it, and then sent it to the editor's QQ account.

After nearly two months of work, she finally finished something and was naturally in a very good mood. She hummed a song as she walked out of the small study.

Xu Tingchuan had just finished showering when he caught the cheerful little rabbit.
