Time slips through our fingers, and in the blink of an eye, it's May again, and Yihai has entered the season for wearing short sleeves.
The weather was neither too hot nor too cold; the afternoon sun was particularly pleasant, perfect for pregnant women to take a walk and soak up the sun.
After accompanying her daughter-in-law for a walk around the yard, Ni Sitian helped her to sit down in the shade of a parasol.
The maid brought out fresh fruits and warm milk, set them out, and then retreated back into the house.
"This melon is very sweet. It was delivered from the old house this morning. Try it." Ni Sitian forked a piece and handed it to Luo Xikui.

"Have you decided on a C-section or natural birth?" Ni Sitian asked with concern. She was a mother-in-law who didn't interfere much, especially since Xu Tingchuan had completely put aside his company after Xu Ziyu got married and took her traveling all over the world.
"Yes, I want to have a natural birth." Luo Xikui paused for a moment, then asked Ni Sitian anxiously, "Mom, is childbirth very painful?"
Her sister-in-law gave birth half a month ago. The delivery was quite complicated. They originally planned for a natural birth, but she couldn't give birth for two whole hours in the delivery room, so they had to change to a cesarean section.
She still finds that day terrifying. Her sister-in-law, who is usually so calm and composed, screamed so heartbreakingly. She can't imagine how she would bear it.
“It’s bound to hurt, but everyone’s situation is different. Your pregnancy has progressed strictly according to the standard, and you’re young, so it should be relatively easy for you to give birth.” Ni Sitian took her hand and patted it reassuringly.
Luo Xikui nodded, and then told Ni Sitian how interesting her older brother's chubby son was.
He has a round head, a chubby face, very big eyes, and is very strong. He also has a big appetite. Luckily, Jing An'an has plenty of breast milk, otherwise, there might not be enough for him to drink.
“They’re most interesting when they’re this tiny,” Ni Sitian smiled.

Because Xu Ziyu is on a business trip in a neighboring city, Luo Xikui is staying at her in-laws' house for the time being, and he will come back to pick her up tomorrow.

"One o'clock." Xu Ziyu glanced at his watch; to be precise, they would arrive in two hours.
However, Luo Xikui misunderstood and thought it was 1 p.m. tomorrow. She pouted and said, "I miss you so much."
"Yes, I know." Xu Ziyu smiled. They had only been apart for a day, and she had already called three times, so he decided that he would go back even if it was the middle of the night.

Amidst the chaos, several people helped Luo Xikui into the car and drove to the Women and Children's Hospital.
"It's okay, Xiao Kui, it's okay." Ni Sitian comforted Luo Xi Kui, who was crying in pain, while calling Xu Ziyu.
Xu Ziyu was extremely nervous after hearing Luo Xikui's scream on the phone. The call was later dropped, and he kept trying to call Luo Xikui's phone again.
Just then, his mother called, and he answered immediately.
"Tuantuan, your wife is about to give birth! Come back quickly!" Ni Sitian held Luo Xikui's hand tightly.
Hearing Luo Xikui's cries of pain echoing from the other end, Xu Ziyu frowned and immediately told the driver to speed up and take the highway around her. Then he had Ni Sitian hand the phone to Luo Xikui.
"Husband...it hurts..." Luo Xikui's tears came out, and she felt more and more amniotic fluid gushing out from her lower body.
