Ni Sitian opened her eyes wide in surprise, searching the hall, but she could no longer see the woman.
She was starting to wonder if she had been overthinking things yesterday, which was why Su Yan's phantom appeared today.
Xu Tingchuan returned with the drinks and saw Ni Sitian staring blankly at the stairs, so he asked in a low voice, "Do you want to go upstairs?"
This banquet hall is a duplex with two floors. The upper floor is the main banquet area, used to entertain guests of higher status or those with closer ties to the Qin and Jiang families.

The eyes of the guests coming and going were all focused on this perfect couple, and their hushed discussions turned into envious exclamations.
Xu Tingchuan was pleased with Ni Sitian's obedience, so he released her waist and took her hand.
Ni Sitian straightened her back, maintaining her elegance, trying to make herself look more compatible with him.
"Tingchuan, long time no see." A middle-aged man, around sixty years old, came over with a wine glass to greet Xu Tingchuan, patted him on the shoulder familiarly, and said with a smile, "It really has been a while since we last met."
Upon seeing the newcomer, Xu Tingchuan smiled slightly and politely greeted him, "Hello, Uncle Chen, it has indeed been a long time."
Ni Sitian listened to the two exchanging pleasantries and talking about their families, including Xu Tingchuan's parents, and mentioned inviting Xu Tingchuan to come fishing with them next time.
She listened quietly, maintaining a polite smile.
A moment later, the middle-aged man turned his gaze to her, glanced at her, and asked Xu Tingchuan, "And who is this young lady?"
A smile flashed in Xu Tingchuan's eyes as he squeezed Ni Sitian's hand and earnestly introduced her to the middle-aged man: "This is my wife, Sitian."
"Huh?" The middle-aged man was clearly stunned and very surprised: "You, you got married? I've never heard anyone mention it."
"We've got our marriage certificate, but haven't had the wedding banquet yet," Xu Tingchuan said with a faint smile. "You must come to the wedding banquet then."
"Of course! Wow, you're really something, getting married so quietly." The middle-aged man patted Xu Tingchuan on the shoulder again and said frankly, "My silly girl has been saying she wants to marry you. If she knew, she'd be heartbroken."
Upon hearing this, Ni Sitian paused for a moment, then looked up at Xu Tingchuan.
"Uncle Chen really loves to joke."
"Haha, let's invite your father another day and go fishing together." The middle-aged man laughed.
Someone came over to greet them, and Xu Tingchuan took the opportunity to lead Ni Sitian away.
After taking only a few steps, Ni Sitian pulled her hand away from his grasp.
