Chapter 7【Catching Bugs】
Jiang Xiangyang reacted quickly, activating the thruster in his hand instantly and moving away from the meteorite. The meteorite did not stop under the impact, so Jiang Xiangyang pulled out the plasma gun from his waist and shot directly at the hole that had just been mined, smashing the meteorite that was rapidly moving towards the new planet.
[Yangyang is wrong, get out of the way, go right!]
The universe was silent and his senses were blocked by the space suit. Jiang Xiangyang could only judge the direction to hide based on the warning from the small ball. He quickly turned sideways upon hearing the sound, just avoiding the swift black shadow, but the waves it caused also pushed him several meters away.
After finally stabilizing himself and seeing the black shadow clearly, Jiang Xiangyang's pupils shrank and he shouted, "Xiao G, turn off the live broadcast quickly!" He then hid behind another meteorite at lightning speed.
[It was closed just now! ]
The alarm button on the space suit was pressed at the same time as Little G spoke. The pioneers who received the message all looked panicked and hurried towards the direction of the transmitter. Several lights suddenly appeared in the distance, and several mechas quickly came from all directions.
No one dared to delay at this moment when they were about to lose their lives.
The black shadow was a snake-like monster with skin like an iron shell, fangs and a ferocious face. It was so huge that it could almost look down on a mecha. Jiang Xiangyang had already escaped from its sight, and it did not linger much and turned to rush towards the nearest person.
The monster's speed was enough to live up to its title of monster, but the mecha running at full speed was not much slower. A cannon shot hit the monster's open mouth, and the monster was knocked back. It twisted its huge body wildly in pain, and its black blood condensed into balls and spread out. The monster lowered its body, locked its hateful eyes on the mecha that had just attacked, and launched an offensive.
The two sides started fighting.
Jiang Xiangyang sneaked over and looked at the pioneer in front of him who seemed to be frightened silly. Without much hesitation, he grabbed the other person's body with one hand and punched him directly in the stomach.
His mouth, which had been opened wide due to panic, immediately widened due to the pain and almost dislocated. The man finally came to his senses and looked at Jiang Xiangyang with a look of tears, his lips still trembling.
This man was obviously a novice, and no one knew how he got to the third track. The fighting between the two sides not far away was getting more and more intense. The artillery fire almost swept past the two of them several times. There was no time to explain or comfort each other. He grabbed the other party, started the thrusters and escaped.
The man reacted while moving, and tried to start the thrusters in a panic, but was stunned again.
Not only him, but also Jiang Xiangyang and dozens of pioneers who had not yet had time to escape, felt as if the blood in their bodies was rapidly flowing backwards at this moment, and they were so sad that they could not breathe.
Before their eyes, a bloody mouth tore a pioneer's body into two. The huge and hideous animal skin was the last scene the unfortunate child saw before his death. However, the monster could not feel the pain of its prey, and devoured the flesh and blood in its mouth with pleasure. The exposed vertical eyes emitted a red light representing excitement.
Why are there two?
There's usually only one, why are there two this time?!
Monsters like to travel alone, and the rescuers are always on guard. As long as they are discovered in time, there will be no danger to their lives. This kind of lucky mentality is finally dealt a heavy blow by the reality before them, and then the monster's skin is torn off and its heart is cut out, and its bloody body is spread out in front of them.
No one could answer. They faced this cruel scene head-on, as if at that moment, they had fallen into purgatory and into a bottomless abyss.
The mecha soldiers who were concentrating on besieging another monster finally discovered this horrifying situation and immediately sent several people to rescue. The monster was quickly restrained and support arrived quickly. It was a fierce battle, but it would eventually end.
Two mechas, two mecha soldiers, and five pioneers, their bodies were out of the pressure protection of their space suits. They didn't even have a chance to be collected by anyone, and were directly scattered all over the universe.

After unloading the tools, taking off the spacesuit, and changing into his own clothes, Jiang Xiangyang walked out of the locker room. Suddenly, he stumbled and hit his head on the wall next to him.
"Yangyang!" Little G rushed over and held Jiang Xiangyang's trembling arm.
"Ah... I'm fine." Jiang Xiangyang rubbed his red forehead and smiled at Little G, "It just hurts a little."
Little G lay on Jiang Xiangyang's sweaty palm, his ears shaking, without saying a word.
Jiang Xiangyang pushed the door open and went out.
The staff at the base were busy cleaning up the mess. The monsters' simultaneous appearance had shattered their preconceived notions, and this might keep them busy for a long time. Long trails of black blood remained on the ground. The monsters' bodies would be unharmed by the pressure of space and would be sent to the actual experimental base for study.
The person in charge had a gloomy expression on his face. He was relieved to see Jiang Xiangyang was safe and sound. He walked over and asked, "Are you injured?"
Jiang Xiangyang shook his head. If a space suit was damaged, it would lose its protective function. In space, injury was equivalent to death.
The person in charge obviously realized that he had asked a stupid question, but he was really overwhelmed by this matter. He paused and said hesitantly: "Xiangyang, what just now..."
Jiang Xiangyang said: "The live broadcast was interrupted before and the audience was not able to see it."
Seeing his pale face and slightly vacant eyes, the person in charge wanted to comfort him but didn't know how. Finally, he sighed and patted his shoulder: "It's almost time for the academic year evaluation, right?"
"Um."
"After what happened, the passage may not be open for a while. Take a good rest in the next ten days and get good grades... If they knew about this, they would be proud of you as their son."
Jiang Xiangyang hummed and did not refuse.
Before leaving, the person in charge said, "Xiangyang, you have excellent qualifications. There's no need to put yourself in this situation. Look at those people in the alliance. They were full of passion and ambition back then, but how many of them are still holding on now?"
"Xiangyang, graduate from Hilda and obey the deployment. With your abilities, you might even be able to compete for the rank of general. You have a bright future. This is the best path for you, don't you understand?"
On the way back, Jiang Xiangyang leaned back in his seat, looking at the scene passing by quickly outside the car window.
Outside the car, red coral-like plants were swaying - based on their structure, they could be called plants. They seemed to feel the wind brought by the car's movement, and their strangely shaped branches immediately twisted and stretched outward, trying to drag the car into them, but were blocked by an invisible barrier and crashed into it with a loud popping sound.
They are aggressive, yet humans deliberately plant them on both sides of roads, for no other reason than that they can release oxygen, which is essential for human survival.
Plants can release oxygen, which is the vitality that the new planet brings to mankind. It is also the only ray of hope that the people on Earth can see when they are wandering in the galaxy to the point of almost despair. But at the same time, it brings not only a way to survive but also various unpredictable crises to mankind.
Far from the solar system, the new planet lacks sunlight. Plants survive on dark matter in the air, driven only by their instinct to devour. Humans, without shells, are undoubtedly their most delicious food. Resources are scarce, the climate is harsh and unpredictable, and many cosmic creatures are so dangerous that they defy common sense, each capable of dealing a fatal blow to humanity.
In order to keep humanity alive, scientists worked tirelessly and devoted their efforts to create a multifunctional protective barrier after countless failures. In another hundred years, they created mechas and photon weapons so that they would no longer be in a passive situation.
But survival is still a big challenge for human beings, and resources will always be exhausted, just like the earth in the past.
So humans formed a pioneer army. Back then, pioneers not only walked the outskirts of new planets, but also equipped with mechas and went to farther and larger places. They shouldered a heavy mission and the hopes of the people on Earth.
Countless people were looking forward to this, but all those who were sent out disappeared without a trace.
Humans, with their unwavering desire and earnestness for survival, formed a second army of pioneers, followed by a third, a fourth, a fifth...
They just waited and waited until an extremely shrill scream came from the communication channel that had been silent for nearly a hundred years, and the owner of the voice was identified as the commander of the last batch of pioneers' army.
It consumed countless energy resources and precious mechas, hundreds of years of hard work and energy, and the lives of thousands and nearly ten thousand outstanding soldiers.
Humanity finally accepted its fate.
