Chapter 4【Catching Bugs】

Chapter 4【Catching Bugs】

"Xiangyang, why aren't you leaving yet?"

The scattered focus finally gathered again in his pupils. Faced with the concerned questions from his classmates, Jiang Xiangyang was stunned for a moment, then reflexively turned his head and looked at the seat not far away.

There was no one on the floating chair any longer, and there were some irregular marks on the table, like dust that had not yet dried.

The classmate followed Jiang Xiangyang's gaze and said casually, "Do you also think that person is weird?"

eccentric?

Recalling the behavior of the young man in black, which all revealed a sense of weirdness, Jiang Xiangyang nodded.

I was already full of doubts, but I had not spoken up before because of the presence of the head instructor. Now that the teacher has left, someone else has brought it up first, and those who haven't left yet can't help but talk about it.

"Hilda School has never had a precedent for admitting students mid-term. It's almost time for the academic year evaluation, so how come they suddenly admitted someone?"

"And he fell asleep during class, and the teacher didn't say anything."

"Exactly. Last time, I couldn't hold back a yawn and nearly got skinned by that demon."

Someone frowned and analyzed: "He sleeps in class and leaves get out of class faster than anyone else. His clothes are tattered and he doesn't even seem to be wearing a headband... Is he a student? Why does he look like a gangster from somewhere?"

"Could it be through connections..."

"This is Hilda. The Supreme Commander of the Alliance is also the principal. How dare you say that anyone has the qualifications to get in through connections?"

"Let's not worry about this for now. Has anyone ever considered that we will be classmates with this kind of person for the next two years? Oh my God, the group honor score will be killed--"

Looking at someone who seemed to be collapsing, the companion next to him just coldly interrupted: "It's already cold."

“…”

Seeing that the topic was going further and further, the squad leader stepped back from the door and gave everyone a warning look. In an instant, everyone fell silent involuntarily.

"We have a group mecha micro-manipulation live training this afternoon. If you don't rest now, you'll end up hindering us later?"

"...We don't know where the new guy is. How do we notify him?" After all, this is a training organized by the class and it will not be recorded in the timetable.

The monitor frowned, not having a good impression of the new student. "I'll go find the head instructor later to get his contact number."

The man then asked: "If he comes, do we have to make some adjustments to the order of our combinations?"

As soon as these words were spoken, the monitor's face changed subtly. Seeing this, the boy next to him nudged the person who asked the question with his arm.

The man reacted and stammered, "Well, he seems to like someone, so he probably won't come."

"It's best not to come, so we don't have to spend time adjusting to the new formation later."

His eyebrows were drawn down, adding to his fear. Although the squad leader was discussing the new young man in black, his eyes glanced at Jiang Xiangyang without disguising: "Since you have decided not to come, there is no need for you to participate in the future."

Jiang Xiangyang: “…”

The atmosphere suddenly became awkward.

The boy next to the monitor seemed to think that the other person had gone too far and pulled him away forcefully. The others looked at Jiang Xiangyang and comforted him not to take it to heart.

Jiang Xiangyang shook his head. He had become immune to such words after hearing them so many times.

"Are you still planning on going there this afternoon?" Seeing that Jiang Xiangyang didn't object, someone frowned in confusion. "It's just a volunteer activity. Is it worth it for you to postpone class training every time?"

"And running back and forth so urgently every day, I would have been squeezed to the point of vomiting three liters of blood. I really don't know how you manage to hold on."

"That's why they say others are in the top three in age, but you're the last one."

The man felt very aggrieved: "What does this have to do with it? It's clearly a matter of talent."

"Ding-dong, it's twelve o'clock! It's twelve o'clock!"

The sudden ringing sound interrupted the noise of the crowd. Jiang Xiangyang coughed, calmly picked up Little G, and tapped the alarm button twice as if to turn off the alarm. Little G cooperated and stopped vibrating, looking dull like an ordinary robot.

The students' gazes followed Jiang Xiangyang's hand, but their minds remained fixed on the number that Xiao G had just reported.

One second, two seconds, three seconds...

The successive roars were heart-wrenching and echoed throughout the entire classroom.

"I I I I I | Damn, it's already twelve o'clock so soon?"

"Hurry up, hurry up, the white rice is probably gone, it's limited to a daily limit!"

"I hate nutrient solution, and I hate it even more when it smells like Mangla grass!"

"If you don't hurry up you'll have to eat that!"

The students finally remembered the fear they felt when they were dominated by the crowd of people scrambling for food. Those who fell behind only had time to say hello to Jiang Xiangyang, but before they could get a response, they had already rushed out of the classroom like the wind with the large group.

Jiang Xiangyang then turned around and tapped Xiao G's forehead with his index finger.

The little ball blinked innocently.

"What time is it?"

"It's just eleven o'clock. What would Yangyang like to eat for lunch?"

"Gru's shop's signature bread." He stood up and walked out of the classroom.

The indoor and outdoor areas seem to be carved out of the same scene. A faint white light shines on you, and you don’t feel either scorching hot or cold. The temperature of the “sun” is adjusted to the perfect temperature by the central thermostat system.

When people are not moving, there seems to be no wind in the air.

Jiang Xiangyang raised his head slightly and looked at the 'sun' in the sky. His eyelids trembled slightly due to the sudden increase in brightness, but it didn't take long before he easily adapted to the non-irritating light.

"Eating bread all the time will make Yangyang's body unable to keep up with its growth."

Jiang Xiangyang looked away: "Anyway, my skeleton was already formed two years ago. How can I develop into anything else?"

Little G thought for a moment and said, "It can also increase the amount of protein in the body, making it easier to develop eight-pack abs."

Jiang Xiangyang: “…” It seems very attractive.

There was still some noise downstairs. Jiang Xiangyang, who was leaning against the railing, looked up. As far as he could see, a hole three meters wide and two meters deep was smashed into the flat and spacious road, but the trail it left was ten meters long, which showed the huge impact force. The air was still filled with a pungent smell of gunpowder, and charred gravel was blown everywhere, but the things in the hole had disappeared.

That's where the gate is.

The situation is more serious than previously imagined.

Thinking of the mecha he had seen before, Jiang Xiangyang pursed his lips slightly and asked Xiao G: "Is anyone injured?"

Little G shook his head. "The radiation hasn't completely dissipated yet, so the detection of electromagnetic waves is hindered, making it impossible to make an accurate assessment." Finally, he added, "It should be fine. After all, the school hasn't set up a cordon."

Jiang Xiangyang thought about it and realized it was almost time, so he turned around and went out the back door of the teaching building. After leaving the school, he headed straight in a certain direction.
