Chapter 5: A Slap in the Face

These two words really shocked everyone. Aunt Min didn't expect Ji Zhinan to admit it fearlessly; and what surprised Grandpa Ji was that his obedient granddaughter actually hit someone.

"Why?" asked the old man.

Ji Zhinan stood straight and said seriously, "Respecting the old and loving the young is true, and respecting others is also right, but if someone takes advantage of their seniority and tries to get ahead of others..."

Aunt Min, feeling guilty, immediately stopped Ji Zhinan from continuing, shouting, "Second Miss, you need to have evidence to back up your words. How could I be so arrogant as to take advantage of my age? How could I be so arrogant? I have spent most of my life in the Ji family..."

Well, I'm starting to play the victim again.

Ji Zhinan didn't buy her tricks and continued indifferently, "Which servant of the Ji family hasn't been bullied by you? These trivial matters can be ignored now, but I am the master and you are the servant, and you want to slap me. As the young lady of the Ji family, I have to teach a lesson to servants like you who don't distinguish between high and low."

Mrs. Ji looked unhappy.

What does this girl mean? As the saying goes, when beating a dog, you have to look at the owner first. Ji Zhinan is slapping her in the face!

Ji Zhinan received Mrs. Ji's unfriendly gaze and quickly turned his attention to Mrs. Ji.

The corners of her mouth curved, a smile that seemed to be neither. "Aunt Min married in with Mom, so she is Mom's face. You can ignore Aunt Min's arrogance at home. But if you indulge her and she develops bad habits, and doesn't distinguish between superiors and inferiors outside, and acts like a bully, then it will be a loss of face for the Ji family and Mom."

Ji Zhinan's words were so powerful that no one could find a word to refute them.

Old Master Ji glared at Aunt Min fiercely.

The old man was not a fool. How could he not have heard anything about Aunt Min showing off her power in the Ji family for so many years? It was just that because this was a servant brought by his daughter-in-law from her parents' home, it was difficult for him as a father-in-law to say anything. He did not expect that ignoring her would make her more and more arrogant and dare to bully the master of the house!

Aunt Min received the old man's death stare, and she shuddered with fear as she knelt on the ground, pinching her thigh and squeezing out two crocodile tears: "Old man, please do me justice. Aunt Min has worked hard for the Ji family and the Madam all her life. The Second Miss is the Madam's daughter and also my little mistress. I dare not bully the Second Miss..."

That's the logic, but Ji Zhinan isn't Madam Ji's...

"Grandpa." Ji Zhinan called out at the right time: "Whoever is against whom, just look at the evidence."

No one understood what Ji Zhinan meant. They just pointed in a certain direction and said, "With the cameras here, no one can lie."

The Ji family’s house is not small, so to prevent any problems, big or small, probes are installed on every floor. However, few people pay attention to them normally, and over time some people forget their existence.

The moment she saw the camera, Aunt Min collapsed.

It’s over…

The old man quickly asked someone to pull out the surveillance footage and play it in front of Aunt Min and Mrs. Ji.

Aunt Min in the video is so arrogant that if you don’t know her, you might think she is the master of the house.

The surveillance video clearly showed that it was Aunt Min who wanted to hit someone first, but was slapped back by Ji Zhinan.

Ji Jiaan's camera had a sound sensor, so it recorded every word Aunt Min said...

The old man's face changed drastically with anger, and he slammed the teacup in his hand towards Aunt Min: "Get out of our Ji family!"

Aunt Min burst into tears: "Grandpa, I know I was wrong, I really know I was wrong..."
