Roderick's words hit Gustav right where it hurt.
Gustav turned his head, and for the first time, a look of disgust appeared in his eyes.
“Roderick, you’ve changed too. I remember your language wasn’t this sharp before.”
Gustave was a little irritated. He was afraid that Matthew Flo would find someone new and forget about him, which was why he didn't want to leave Matthew's side for even a moment.
But Roderick still had to remind him, really! He's got such a sharp tongue!
After being glared at, Roderick burst into laughter. After so long, he had finally made Gustav lose control of his expression.
He had previously beaten Gustav to the ground, and Gustav hadn't even flinched.
Seeing this scene now, he knows his trip wasn't in vain.
Roderick said with a smile in his eyes:
"If you're not going to participate, then forget it."
In a few days, Lord Han Ling and I will be returning to the Imperial Star. Would you like to come along?
Gustav shook his head:
"No, going back to Emperor Star would waste too much time on the road and might delay my treatment."
Furthermore, the male insects' bodies are not suited for long-distance travel, as that would endanger their lives.
Upon hearing this, Roderick explained:
"During this voyage, Lord Han Ling will construct a spatial teleportation channel to send us directly back to Emperor Star."
If you want to go, it will only take a few seconds.
But I feel that you probably don't want to go back right now. You don't want other people to see you injured.
If that's the case, then Mr. Han Ling and I will leave in five days.
Gustav nodded in agreement:
"That's all we can do. I'm really not in the right condition to compete right now. I hope you can lead the team to a good result."
Roderick nodded, then stood up:
"Alright, I'm relieved to know you're doing well. If there's nothing else, I'll head back now. Lord Han Ling is still waiting for me at home."
For the next five days, Lord Han Ling and I will be staying on Aphrodite. If you need any assistance, please feel free to contact me at any time.
After saying this, Roderick turned and walked away.
Despite Matthew Flo's repeated attempts to persuade him to stay, Roderick smiled and said goodbye to the two of them before leaving the villa.
The sun was shining brightly outside the villa.
The sky was a clear, cloudless blue.
The blue tricycle was parked by the roadside, providing a patch of shade.
Roderick was tall and had long legs; after a few steps, he returned to the tricycle.
He twisted the throttle, started the tricycle, turned it around, and saw the road he had come from.
A few hundred meters away from the villa, Roderick finally couldn't help but laugh out loud.
He never expected that Gustav would be so petty after falling in love.
From the moment Roderick entered, Gustav appeared indifferent, but his tense and unnatural muscles revealed his true thoughts to Roderick—Gustav was afraid.
As for what he was afraid of, Roderick guessed that it might be that he was afraid Roderick would steal Matthew Flo away.
Roderick is currently strong and powerful, and has no ailments.
In stark contrast to Gustav, he suffers from numerous ailments and is currently confined to his home to recuperate.
In this contrast, Gustav must have been terrified that Matthew had fallen in love with another female insect.
Therefore, Gustav should have been in a state of readiness from the moment Roderick rang the doorbell.
Just then, Roderick's personal computer sent him a new message notification.
He quickly parked his tricycle on the side of the road and opened the message.
[Gustav: Don't come to my house alone anymore, you're an eyesore! Why don't you bring your male with you?]
[Roderick: You're so petty! I never knew you were so narrow-minded. Who would even care about Matthew!]
Gustav: What do you mean by that? Is there anything wrong with Matthew? Matthew is excellent in every way! &#……&……
Upon seeing the barrage of profanities, Roderick silenced Gustav with just one sentence.
[Roderick: Tomorrow, I'll beat you up in front of Matthew, you little rascal.]
[Gustav: ...No, I'm still resting.]
After dealing with Gustav, Roderick felt incredibly relieved.
Seeing that it was still early, he rode his blue tricycle and leisurely strolled along the road.
The car moved forward at a steady speed, and the wind it brought dispelled the summer heat.
The sunshade on the tricycle also provided excellent sun protection.
Roderick leisurely enjoyed the unique scenery of Aphrodite.
Various rare and precious flowers and plants can be seen everywhere on the street.
The flowers, with their silvery-white mother-of-pearl sheen, cluster together to form a giant corolla over a meter in size.
The petals curl inwards, slightly gathered together, and the dew stored within them sparkles like pearls when refracted by the sunlight.
A flower like this is usually only seen in flower museums on Class A planets.
But here, they are left unattended by the roadside, like wildflowers.
Unfortunately, those who appreciate it are not flower lovers.
Roderick didn't find the flowers particularly beautiful; he simply marveled at how Aphrodite truly deserved its status as a super-A-class planet.
Various delicate and precious flowers and plants with different characteristics and habits are able to survive tenaciously here.
This indicates that the soil on Aphrodite is rich in nutrients.
Moreover, the soil of Planet Aphrodite must contain special substances that enable plants to overcome their delicate nature, develop strong antiviral capabilities, become less susceptible to environmental influences, and increase their survival rate.
There are only 600,000 male insects on Afro, so perhaps allowing the male insects to live on Afro is also a way to protect the planet.
After all, Aphrodite's advantages can only be preserved with minimal human intervention.
As Roderick strolled along the street, admiring the beautiful scenery, his thoughts wandered.
Emperor Star has a very rich collection of books, and although Roderick is physically strong, he is also quite intelligent.
He has read countless books, so he can always make connections to many things.
Roderick murmured:
"Next time, I'll take Lord Han Ling out for a stroll. He should be quite interested in the plants in the Zerg star system, which might be helpful for his writing."
Roderick timed it perfectly, and riding his blue tricycle, he covered the streets where the male insects lived in just two hours.
Throughout the journey, he was constantly amazed, deeply impressed by Aphrodite's grand scale.
After walking around for a while, Roderick glanced at the time.
Mr. Han Ling is usually busy until 8:00 PM, and there are still 5 hours until 8:00 PM.
Seeing that there was still plenty of time, Roderick suddenly had a whimsical idea: why not go outside his residence and take a look?
Let's take a look at what the undeveloped, pristine planet Aphrodite looks like.
Ronrik acted on his impulse; he quickly turned his bike around and rode towards the undeveloped area.
Although Roderick moved slowly and deliberately, he rode the tricycle very fast.
After all, he is a female insect, so riding this vehicle will not take any effort for him, it's not even a warm-up.
After riding for about twenty minutes, Roderick arrived at the real planet Aphrodite.
The undeveloped planet Aphrodite exudes a wild and untamed atmosphere, even its scenery.
All sorts of weeds grew rampantly.
After the harsh winter and the nourishment of spring, the wild grasses grow exceptionally lush in summer.
Roderick estimated that the tallest patch of weeds was about 5 meters high.
If you try to ride your bike across, it might get lost in the bushes.
Roderick cherished the blue tricycle.
Instead of driving further in, he got out of his seat, turned around, and stepped into the back of the truck.
Using the height of the vehicle, he gazed into the distance, appreciating the pristine beauty.
Only when the golden and fiery red sunset appeared did Roderick look away and raise his head to look at the sky.
"This scenery is truly beautiful. I'll bring Lord Han Ling out to see it tomorrow."
Roderick muttered unconsciously.
The most romantic thing is sharing.
Rodrik wanted to take this scene home and show it to Han Ling.
Thinking of this, Roderick quickly took out his personal computer, switched to shooting mode, and wanted to capture this beautiful moment.
However, just after Roderick switched to shooting mode...
The notification that popped up automatically on the computer startled Roderick.
[Legal Reminder: Abnormal color blocks have been detected in the image. Please do not take photos without the other person's permission. Respecting personal privacy and abiding by the law is everyone's responsibility.]
A huge red exclamation mark and a red pop-up appeared in the center of the screen.
Roderick was stunned when he saw the notification.
This is a reminder from the legal mastermind, Gesès.
There are explicit rules in interstellar space that if other people appear in the frame when taking photos or videos in non-space environments, the quantum computer will no longer provide shooting services.
If you want to take photos of multiple strangers, the quantum computers must collide.
The mastermind is omnipresent; such a collision can be identified in just one second.
Therefore, everyone in interstellar space abides by this rule.
When taking photos with strangers, people shake hands or hug each other to show friendliness, which also helps the computer recognize the photos.
However, the notification from the personal terminal left Roderick stunned.
He looked ahead with a serious expression, his gaze sweeping across the peaceful wilderness, his pupils constantly shrinking as he searched for any unusual scenery.
Strangers appeared in his shot.
But who could it be?
There was clearly no movement or sound within the frame.
Roderick excels at both combat and reconnaissance; no movement escapes the female insect's notice.
Just two seconds later, Roderick's tentacles, hidden within his silver hair, bent halfway and stood upright on his head.
The delicate and light antennae swayed gently in the summer breeze.
Within a five-mile radius, no unusual scent can escape the tentacles' detection.
The wind will help, bringing a special aroma.
Roderick's antennae twitched, and then his eyes immediately locked onto the due north direction ahead.
There's an unusual smell there. Someone is actually hiding there!
After a thorough examination with his tentacles, Roderick's heart sank slightly.
He first pretended to be nonchalant as he got off the truck bed.
But when his feet touched the ground, he no longer concealed it.
Roderick's muscles erupted with powerful energy, and he shot towards the man's location like an arrow.
Roderick is incredibly fast, capable of exceeding the speed of light, and is currently sprinting hundreds of meters per second.
Time seemed to stand still; before the weeds could even react, Roderick's figure had already disappeared into the distance.
After a while, a rustling sound came from among the weeds. A gust of wind blew, causing the weeds to sway this way and that.
In just 10 seconds, Roderick sprinted several kilometers northward.
To his disappointment, he did not find the "special color block" indicated by the computer.
A brand new spear mark stretched from the bottom of the blue tricycle all the way to his feet.
Rodrik's antennae were now fully erect, nervously scanning the surroundings for any movement.
To his alarm, the smell had vanished! This meant that the person spying on him was even faster than he was.
"Who are you? Come out! I'll give you a chance to tell me why you're here."
It is said that all's fair in war. Luo Zili lowered his head, and his psychic insect armor appeared on his body. The silver-gray exoskeleton connected his entire body, like a suit of armor.
On Roderick's right hand, a spear materialized. With a flick of his wrist, sparks flew from the spearhead, and the spear vibrated, tearing through the air and igniting flames.
In his hand was the halberd, a weapon of the Shovel Tribe.
Roderick asked aloud, then waited for a reply.
But to his disappointment, no one answered his question.
Roderick could not detect the enemy's location with the naked eye, nor with his tentacles.
Left with no other choice, he had to turn on his personal computer again and take another picture of the surrounding scenery.
After scanning the area, even the personal computer stopped issuing violation warnings.
Roderick felt a little nervous. Had this person escaped right under his nose? Or had there been a problem with the quantum computer's detection?
With this mishap, Roderick didn't want to stay here anymore.
He quickly turned around and got back onto the blue tricycle.
After such an incident, he had no interest in the scenery; he only wanted to get back to his home in Bern Mountain as quickly as possible to check on Lord Han Ling's safety.
This time, the little blue tricycle sped down the street with the speed of a sports car.
This blue tricycle is Han Ling's beloved ride. He can't throw it away, nor can he pedal too fast, otherwise he might accidentally set it on fire.
It took Roderick 20 minutes to get back to his home in the Bern Hills.
If it weren't for the blue tricycle, he might have been back in 5 minutes.
Inside the villa, the atmosphere remained peaceful and serene.
Although the sun had set, the residual heat had not completely dissipated, and the entire room was still filled with a warm and cozy atmosphere.
However, Roderick felt no warmth at all until he saw Han Ling working at her desk in the living room of the villa, at which point Roderick finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Hearing the sound, Han Ling, who was working, looked up, smiled, and mouthed something:
"I'm still in a meeting, I'll be right back. Why are you back? Did you finish sightseeing? What did you think of Planet Aphrodite?"
Roderick hesitated, wondering whether he should tell Han Ling what had just happened.
After all, what just happened could be fake, an illusion, or a minor problem with his personal computer.
After a long pause, Roderick sighed and decided to tell the truth.
"Lord Han Ling, I just went to the wilderness of Aphrodite. There was nothing unusual at first, but when I took a picture, my computer alerted me that a humanoid creature had entered the frame."
But after searching around, they still couldn't find where the humanoid creature was.
Do you think it's just my imagination?
