Chapter 15 The Antidote: He wanted to skin and shred the person and eat them alive.
Li Yunru had prepared herself mentally for everything, but she never expected to see such a scene when she walked in.
The private room was a mess. The once refined and elegant young master of a noble family was now in a sorry state. He trembled and huddled in the corner, his clothes wide open, revealing his strong chest. His arms were covered with wounds, and blood slid down his jade-like arms, staining his crane-patterned robe. Some of the blood, probably from the violent stabbing, splashed onto his face.
The person's eyes were bloodshot, and their gaze was hazy and disordered. The red blood and the well-maintained pinkish-white skin blended together perfectly on that beautiful face, creating an eerie beauty.
He was barely conscious, just groaning in pain instinctively with his eyes closed, but his hands kept moving, still stabbing his arm, as if trying to use the pain to relieve the discomfort of his body being crawled by thousands of spiders and ants. The weapon was a bloodstained silver hairpin, shaped like a dodder flower. It wasn't very well made, but it was very tightly wrapped and intertwined, giving the feeling that it was delicate but wanted to devour the main body.
These are items belonging to the daughter's family.
However, there was no one in the room, only an extremely refreshing yet inexplicably unpleasant fragrance permeating the air.
"Princess!"
The two people following behind were clearly also stunned, at a loss for what to do. They stood there, forgetting to react, and just kept calling out to her.
Li Yunru struggled to recover from her shock and, without time to think, said to Chen Jingsheng, "Take your master back!"
"yes."
Chen Jingsheng stepped forward, but was thrown away the moment he touched him. "Don't touch me!"
Yan Ning's voice was hoarse, her eyes were bloodshot, and with every movement, her body trembled uncontrollably, as if she had been subjected to a great shock.
Li Yunru had never seen Yan Ning like this before. Broken, pitiful, he had lost all of his noble elegance as a scion of a prominent family. His every move exuded charm and grace, making him the object of admiration for countless women in Jiankang.
Her teeth chattered, her hands unconsciously clenched into fists, she took a deep breath, and walked over with steps that felt as heavy as a thousand pounds.
"Yan Changjun".
"Bang!" Her hand was violently flung away.
"roll!"
Yan Ning shouted in a fit of rage, "Get away! Don't touch me!"
Li Yunru's heart broke at the sight, a sharp pain gripping her. She half-squatted down, grabbed his still-mischievous hand, and, suppressing her sobs, angrily rebuked him: "Yan Changjun, wake up!"
The familiar voice snapped him out of his daze. He looked up at the person with a confused and blank expression, and it took him a while to finally recognize them. He stammered, "Princess, Liyang?"
"Yes, it's me."
She moved closer, grabbed his hand, and slowly pried open his fingers to take the silver hairpin away.
"It's me," she said again, confirming.
Upon hearing the affirmative answer, Yan Ning's eyes finally focused, but he suddenly became extremely aggrieved. He said in a trembling voice, "I...I'm not dirty, I'm clean."
Li Yunru was stunned, and then she heard him say, "I'm not dirty, please don't abandon me."
Something pierced her heart, and her mind went blank. She couldn't think of anything for a moment before she finally came to her senses.
"Yes, I won't refuse it."
She moved closer, wiped the blood off his face, and said as if making a promise, "I won't refuse, don't worry."
Upon hearing this, Yan Ning's tense nerves finally relaxed. He went limp and threw himself into the other's arms, greedily inhaling the familiar scent. But soon, he was no longer satisfied with just that and began to nibble at the other, his strength growing increasingly intense...
Li Yunru winced in pain and couldn't help but groan softly, her brows furrowing slightly, but she still forced herself to remain calm and continued to soothe his emotions.
The person patted his back gently: "It's okay, it's okay, let's go home, let's go home."
Yan Ning shook her head, raised her watery eyes, looked at her pitifully, and choked out, "I...I feel unwell."
Li Yunru's gaze drifted to his lower body, a place she couldn't bear to look at...
Given the situation, one can probably guess what happened before she arrived.
It was indeed impossible for him to leave like this. This place was frequented by people, mostly scions of prominent families. If he walked out of this door in such a disheveled state, who knew what kind of nasty gossip would spread tomorrow, ruining the reputation he had built up over twenty years.
For aristocratic families, maintaining a respectable image is of utmost importance.
Moreover, Yan Ning, whose talent and romantic reputation astonished the Jiangzuo region...
After a moment's thought, she made her decision.
Li Yunru said to the person outside the door, "Shu Yun, take them out. No one is allowed to approach this place without my order!"
Shu Yun was taken aback, then understood her master's thoughts. Although it seemed inappropriate and too unfair to her princess, there was nothing she could do about it.
"Yes," she replied, immediately calming down the crowd that had just caused a commotion and that many people who had come to watch the show were not allowed to utter a single word.
After Shu Yun left, Li Yunru looked at Chen Jingsheng, who was standing at the door looking lost, and instructed him: "Go back to the manor immediately and fetch a clean set of your master's clothes."
Chen Jingsheng never expected that such a thing would happen while he was out buying cakes. Not to mention that Madam Cui, who was far away in Jiankang, knew that his life was in danger, the princess in front of him was not someone to be trifled with. All of this left him frozen on the spot for a long time until he heard Li Yunru's words, which brought him back to his senses.
He immediately replied, "Yes," and without hesitation, he took a step to leave, but Li Yunru called him back again.
Her gaze fell upon the purple-gold incense burner shrouded in the fragrance of clouds on the table.
The man said to Chen Jingsheng, "Take it out and throw it away."
She couldn't identify what kind of fragrance it was, but her intuition told her that Yan Ning's actions were inextricably linked to these things.
...
The door was closed, leaving only the two of them inside. Apart from the lingering fragrance and the stench of blood, all that could be heard was Yan Ning's muffled groans of unbearable pain.
Without hesitation, she took off her clothes, walked over, straddled him, cupped his face, and gave him a tender kiss on the lips. She solemnly said, "Yan Changjun, I'm here. You can do whatever you want..."
The intense fragrance of moonlight assaulted Yan Ning's senses, slowly eroding his reason. He wanted to tear the person apart, to devour them completely, to merge them with himself, so that no one could ever separate them again...
But his remaining consciousness told him he couldn't, and he shook his head, "I'll hurt you."
"It doesn't matter."
Li Yunru cupped his face in her hands, gazed deeply into his eyes, and told him, "I do."
Those three words were like a blazing fire, burning away his remaining reason. He leaned over and took the initiative, pressing her heavily beneath him. His eyes were bloodshot as he said in a hoarse voice, "Li Yunru, I gave you a chance."
"Brother~"
She called out sweetly, her hand climbing onto his neck. She bit his neck, then slowly slid down to his arm, licking the blood from the wound clean, before telling him once again, "I'm willing."
"Bad princess!"
A tear rolled down her cheek, landing on Li Yunru's face. It was salty and sticky, but she no longer had the energy to feel it. She just clung to him tightly, like a drowning person grasping at a lifeline...

I didn't want to pad this chapter with too many words, otherwise it would feel weird. It's just a short chapter, and that's enough for today's ranking. I'll take a day or two to save up some chapters before updating again. I write slowly, only a little bit each day, but I won't abandon the story. Please add it to your favorites, little puppy author!
