Chapter 120 The tyrannical enemy
When Xu Yu walked out of the Wang family's dilapidated gate, what he saw was Sang Zhixia's slightly bewildered back of the head.
She raised her hand in the air and grabbed a handful of air. In front of her was the back of Uncle Xu, who was rushing towards home at a speed far ahead.
"Hmm."
Sang Zhixia sighed and tilted her head to look at Xu Yu: "When Third Uncle sees the wound on Yanran's face, he won't come back and fight with others, right?"
Xu Yu understood clearly and shook his head, saying, "No."
"Uncle San's temper isn't that explosive. If no one were to start a fight first, the most he'd do is write a few more pages of curse words."
Even though the Wang family couldn't understand a single word of the anger he expressed on paper, it wasn't a bad idea for him to vent his anger.
Sang Zhixia let out a cry of surprise and was about to go home when the hand that had struck him was grabbed by Xu Yu.
After turning his palm and the back of his hand, Xu Yu sighed under Sang Zhixia's puzzled gaze, "Does your hand hurt?"
Mrs. Wang's face was completely swollen like a pig's head on both sides. The swollen corners of her eyes pressed down so hard that she couldn't even open her eyelids, forcing a lot of malice to be suppressed.
Does it hurt your hands after you slapped me like this twice?
Sang Zhixia hadn't expected his focus to be so distorted. She was stunned for a moment before pulling her hand back and letting out a laugh. "It was a little numb when I first hit it, but it's all fine now."
Xu Yu exhaled slowly: "It's ok as long as it doesn't hurt. I'll get some hot water to warm you up when I get home."
He looked down at his empty palms, then recalled Sang Zhixia's bravery when he hit someone, and laughed: "This is the first time I've seen you so angry, and the first time I've seen you hit someone."
"Why did you stop me from doing it for you just now?"
Sang Zhixia squinted at him and said, "How dare you fight with a woman?"
It's not that I look down on Xu Yu's fighting ability, I just think that unless Xu Yu is really angry, it would be difficult for him to do such a thing.
She shook her numb wrist and said absentmindedly, "This is my first time doing it, it's not like I don't know how to do it."
"When I was bullied before, I always fought back. I'm not afraid of a fight of this magnitude."
When Xu Yu heard the voice, his eyes flashed silently, and a subtle wrinkle appeared between his eyebrows.
"Were you often bullied when you were at the Sang family?"
Sang Zhixia's lips curled up in mockery, and her eyes flickered rapidly from an angle where Xu Yu couldn't see. She touched her nose and said vaguely, "If you're weak, you'll get beaten. What's so strange about that?"
"Let's go home."
Xu Yu watched her back as she walked away, the corners of his lips pursed silently, but his tone did not change at all when he raised his foot to catch up with her.
"Zhizhi, wait for me."
I was furious when I came, but when I left, even the cold wind blowing on my face seemed sweeter.
As Xu Yu expected, Uncle Xu was indeed very angry after seeing Xu Yanran's face. He even regretted why he didn't follow Sang Zhixia to slap the Wang family's mother-in-law and daughter-in-law in the face.
He muttered and cursed for a while but still felt unsatisfied. A gust of cold wind rushed into the room, and the rage of a man not wanting to fight with a woman burst out. The tip of his pen, soaked with ink, slid across the paper with a loud noise. Every word was filled with anger that could not be vented, and between the lines was a huge rage that had not been withdrawn.
Sang Zhixia gave Xu Yu a thumbs-up in amazement: "Awesome."
This prediction is perfect!
Xu Yu curled his lips subtly, and seeing Xu Mingyang covering his face and breathing with his teeth bared, and Xu Mingxu squatting and sniffling, he walked over and touched their heads with his big hands.
"Courage is commendable, but lacks wisdom, but it's not bad."
Sang Zhixia knocked Xu Mingyang on the forehead, crossed his arms and said, "If you can't beat him, run away. Get away first and then look for another opportunity. Don't be stupid and get beaten up, okay?"
Xu Mingyang gasped, enduring the pain. He stiffened his neck like a wolf cub and asked, "Isn't it unmanly to run away and not dare to fight?"
"Masculinity?"
Sang Zhixia tutted amusedly and said playfully, "So do you think it's shameful to run away when you're defeated, or do you think it's shameful to confront someone head-on and get beaten?"
"Silly boy, that's not called losing your masculinity and running away. That's called temporarily avoiding the enemy's edge and waiting for the right opportunity. Gathering strength is a retreat strategy, understand?"
"Besides, why didn't you go home and call the adults when you were bullied? Today, you and Yanran were very brave and protected Mingxu and Jinxi, but what if someone who provoked you was more powerful than the Wang family boy, and you and Yanran couldn't get any advantage? What would you do? Just stand there and get beaten up with the two little ones?"
Xu Mingyang opened his mouth in confusion, obviously not knowing how to respond. Sang Zhixia bent down and pinched his little nose.
"You're not grown up yet. Some troubles require you to go home and call the adults. If you encounter something like this again, don't care what others say. Just turn around and run home. Until you can fight back yourself, your big brother will do it. Remember?"
Xu Mingyang turned his head and glanced at Xu Yu, who nodded noncommittally: "Your sister-in-law is right."
Xu Mingyang nodded repeatedly, seeming to understand.
Xu Mingxu also counted his fingers seriously: "Then I will call you big brother loudly from now on!"
Big brother is so powerful that he can fight many of them!
"That's what you said, but you can't just rely on someone's support to provoke others for no reason."
Second Aunt Xu sighed helplessly, patted Xu Mingyang's small shoulder and said, "You can't bully other people's children, otherwise you will be no different from those two brats from the Wang family, understand?"
Xu Mingyang and Xu Mingxu nodded earnestly, like chicks pecking at rice. Sang Zhixia glanced over her shoulder into the house and whispered, "Second Aunt, where are my mother-in-law and Third Aunt? Are they still angry?"
"How can I not be annoyed?"
Second Aunt Xu sighed, "Yanran's injuries were the most serious. Although Jinxi was protected, she also had scratches on her hands and face. How could a mother not feel heartbroken when seeing such a delicate little girl suffer so much?"
Fortunately, Sang Zhixia took back the slap that fell on Xu Yanran's face, otherwise she would be even more angry just thinking about it!
Aunt Xu was an outstanding needlework worker. In her spare time, she taught the women in the village and also heard a lot of gossip in the village.
She quickly glanced inside the room and lowered her voice, saying, "We've finally gotten our revenge today, but the Wang family has lost face so badly. We must not take it lightly in the future."
"I heard that Wang Dachui is a scoundrel who takes on all kinds of dirty and smelly things. He is not afraid of the open attacks, but he is afraid of the slander in secret. Everyone should be vigilant and don't be careless."
When making enemies, I'm most afraid of people like the Wang family who are so unethical.
No bottom line, no taste, arrogant, hypocritical and weak.
When the door is closed, the whole family cannot find any pride in such a family, but they are actually doing dirty things in their own way.
Aunt Xu’s reminder is not unreasonable.
Xu Yu thought for a moment and said, "Let the little ones stay at home for a few days and I'll keep an eye on the outsiders."
The few little ones who fought bravely and were injured are now staying at home to recuperate and study. Everything is back to normal and it seems that the incident has passed.
Six days later, at three minutes past midnight.
Xu Yu, who came to check the kang as usual, walked to the front of the greenhouse and noticed the muddy and messy footprints on the ground. The remaining sleepiness in his eyes disappeared in an instant, and was slowly covered with cold frost.
The deathly silence lasted for a while. Xu Yu bit the soft flesh of the side of his jaw with the root of his tongue and rubbed it. With a biting sneer in his mouth, he turned around and blended into the night.
